The pressure to look young in Hollywood seems to be too much for some celebs, who’ve resorted to going under the knife to press the pause button on ageing. Thankfully, they saw the error of their ways, turned their back on cosmetic enhancements and embraced their natural beauty.
Courteney Cox
Courteney Cox has been on our screens for more than 20 years, but the star still feels the pressure of Hollywood. Now 53, she didn’t realise how far down the cosmetic surgery hole she’d fallen under a friend pointed it out and made Courteney question what she was doing to her face. “I’ve had all my fillers dissolved,” she revealed in an interview with New Beauty. “I feel better because I look like myself. I think that I now look more like the person that I was.”
Melanie Griffith
Melanie Griffith tells Porter magazine she didn’t realise how her cosmetic surgery changed her face “until people started saying, ‘Oh my god, what has she done?!’ I was so hurt,” she says. “I went to a different doctor, and he started dissolving all of this s–t that this other woman doctor had put in. Hopefully, I look more normal now.”
Roxy Jacenko
Roxy Jacenko told Mia Freeman during her podcast No Filter that when she re-watched her 60 Minutes interview she thought: “Wow, maybe ease off that [lip filler] I may have overdone it.” Roxy went on to say “they have since gone down, they have deflated. I haven’t had them done for six months because there was so much in them.”
Olivia Newton-John’s daughter Chloe Lattanzi reportedly spent nearly $550,000 on Botox, fillers and surgery but reveals to Woman’s Day “not only did the lip implants look ridiculous, the first boob op I had in Australia when I was 18, left me looking mutilated.” Chloe went on to say “now I’m a 32DD and I love my body and love showing my new boobs off. Mum supported my surgery decisions because she knew how unhappy I was before.”
Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman joked to Italian newspaper La Repubblica in 2013, “No surgery for me; I did try Botox, unfortunately, but I got out of it and now I can finally move my face again.”
Cameron Diaz
Cameron Diaz is also not a fan of Botox. “I’ve tried [Botox] before, where it was a little tiny touch of something,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “It changed my face in such a weird way. I’d rather see my face ageing than a face that doesn’t belong to me at all.”
Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham had breast augmentation surgery in 1999 after giving birth to her first son, Brooklyn, but told Allure in 2014: “I don’t have them anymore […] They got removed.” Her once DDs are now a B.
Denise Richards
In 1990, when Denise Richards was just 19, when she underwent rushed surgery for breast implants but the doctor gave her “bigger implants than what I asked for,” she told Us Weekly in July 2011. In 1998 Denise underwent corrective surgery, but still had bigger implants than she expected.
Jane Fonda
“I did have plastic surgery,” said Jane Fonda to W Magazine, who had cosmetic procedures on her neck, chin and surgery to remove the bags under her eyes. “I’m not proud of the fact that I’ve had it. But I grew up so defined by my looks. I was taught to think that if I wanted to be loved, I had to be thin and pretty. That leads to a lot of trouble.”
Gwyneth Paltrow
Natural beauty queen Gwyneth Paltrow is known for her unique beauty treatments but this is one she won’t be trying again. “I’ve probably tried everything. I would be scared to go under the knife, but you know, talk to me when I’m 50. I’ll try anything. Except I won’t do Botox again, because I looked crazy. I looked like Joan Rivers!”
Cher
Cher told People magazine in 90s, “I’ve had my breasts done, but my breast operations were a nightmare. They were really botched in every way. If anything, they were worse after than before.”
Jessica Simpson
After admitting to lip injections, Jessica Simpson told Glamour magazine in 2006, “[The injections] went away in, like, four months, my lips are back to what they were. Thank God! It looked fake to me. I didn’t like that.”
Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian got Botox during a September 2010 episode of her reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. “On the show you saw I had some bruising around my eyes after the procedure, which is totally natural, but because I hadn’t looked into the side effects, I freaked out,” she wrote on her blog after the episode aired. “Botox just wasn’t necessary for me at this age.”

Sophie Monk
Sophie Monk told Who magazine in 2011 that she’s had lip fillers too, but wasn’t happy with the results. “Half of my lip was removed with the cyst, and I was advised to get filler in my top lip to help balance it out,” Sophie said, “I should have said no to the filler in the first place but I trusted the doctor.”
Tori Spelling
Tori Spelling admits she regrets having a boob job. “If someone had said to me when I was 20 years old, ‘By the way, every 10 to 15 years you’re going to need to get these suckers replaced’ I wouldn’t have done it.”
