He’s a helicopter pilot with a queue of beautiful blondes beating down his door, but Prince Harry is jealous of his brother William’s marital bliss.

Harry revealed his envy of William’s relationship with Kate in a candid interview to mark the end of his 20-week tour of duty in Afghanistan.

“Before coming out here I was very jealous of my brother, Harry said.

“Back home he gets to go home to his wife and dog, whereas out here we don’t. We’re stuck playing PlayStation in a tent full of men.”

But Harry, 28, admitted the jealousy goes both ways. William, he says, is frustrated his position as future king prevents him from seeing frontline service.

Instead, William must be satisfied with his current job, flying search and rescue missions in the UK for the RAF, while Harry on active duty in Afghanistan, something the younger prince wishes his brother could do too.

“I think there is a bit of jealousy, not just the fact that I get to fly this, but obviously he’d love to be out here,” Harry said.

“And to be honest with you, I don’t see why he couldn’t. His job out here would be flying the IRT [Immediate Response Team], or whatever, doing Chinook missions. Just the same as us — no-one knows who’s in the cockpit.

“Yes, you get shot at, but if the guys who are doing the same job as us are being shot at on the ground, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with us being shot at as well.

“People back home will have issues with that, but we’re not special. The guys out there are, simple as that.”

Harry also spoke about his joy at the prospect of becoming an uncle, but said the news that William and Kate were expecting their first child hasn’t made him feel pressured to settle down and start a family of his own.

“I don’t think you can ever be urged to settle down,” he said. “If you find the right person and everything feels right, then it takes time, especially for myself and my brother.

“You ain’t ever going to find someone who’s going to jump into the position that it would hold, simple as that.”

Prince Harry has given a frank interview admitting for the first time that he has killed men during his 20-week tour of Afghanistan.

The 28-year-old royal flew out of the war-torn country last night, but not before he filmed a rare interview discussing his time flying Apache attack helicopters on the front line.

Asked if he had killed anyone in combat, Harry matter-of-factly replied: “Yeah, so lots of people have. The squadron’s been out here. Everyone’s fired a certain amount.”

The Prince seemed thoughtful but unrepentant about his actions in Helmand, saying he could justify killing people if it would prevent the deaths of his comrades.

“Take a life to save a life, that’s what we revolve around,” he said. “If there’s people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we’ll take them out of the game.

“I’m not here on a free pass … our job out here is to make sure the guys are safe on the ground and if that means shooting someone who is shooting them, then we will do it.”

Harry also opened up about his living condition at Camp Bastion in southern Helmand, saying he didn’t receive any special treatment because of his status.

“It’s as normal as it’s going to get,” he said. “I’m one of the guys, I don’t get treated any differently.”

He did admit to having his soldier’s rations boosted by a special Christmas gift from his father Prince Charles — a pot of Clarence House honey and a box of Cuban cigars.

Harry is currently relaxing and debriefing at a British base in Cyprus before returning to the UK.

The fashion industry has been accused of promoting “manorexia” after an array of shockingly thin male models were sent down the catwalk at Paris Fashion Week.

Designer YSL was criticised on the blogosphere for “woefully irresponsible model casting” as a photo of an emaciated model prompted a barrage of responses on social media.

Many criticised the designer’s use of the super-skinny model, saying it could encourage male anorexia and irresponsibly promoted an unhealthy body image, but some disturbing ‘pro-ana’ responders weighed in in favour of the model choice.

Prominent fashion blogger Poppy Dinsey, who sparked the online debate with a tweet, said that while it couldn’t be assumed the model was ill, the fashion industry should give more consideration to male body image when it comes to casting.

“I have had hundreds of replies but haven’t seen a single response that says they think it looks healthy or acceptable, although plenty of fashion friends enjoyed the collection itself — which people seem to be forgetting about,” she told The Daily Mail.

“What did upset me was the number of people who said the model was ‘disgusting’ — I made a point of saying you can’t assume that the model has an eating disorder.

“I have been to hundreds of fashion shows so I’m never particularly surprised by the latest ‘shock model picture’ but casting directors have to take some responsibility.

“A model may well be healthy, but if someone looking at the pictures will assume the opposite, why not cast someone who doesn’t create such controversy?”

While male model casting is generally responsible in the fashion world, with high earning fashion models tending to be fit and healthy rather than super-slim, the use of extremely gaunt models is worrying in a time where male anorexia or ‘manorexia’ is becoming more widespread.

UK figures released by eating disorders organisation B-EAT suggest the number of male anorexics, previously thought to account for 10 percent of sufferers, has shot up with males accounting for a quarter of eating disorders.

Closer to home, Australian eating disorder authority The Butterfly Foundation last year estimated that males accounted for 29 percent of anorexia sufferers, and 36.5 percent of all eating disorders, but due to a lack of reporting and recognition, they believe that number could be even higher.

“Men are notoriously bad at seeking help, and in men as in women eating disorders can take a variety of shapes,” a spokesperson told The Weekly.

“As well as trying to lose extreme amounts of weight, eating disorders can take the shape of an unhealthy commitment to the gym lifestyle, causing them to diet poorly in order to put on the kind of weight they seek and taking supplements.

“That is in fact an eating disorder as well.”

In Australia there are government recommended guidelines in place, developed in partnership with The Butterfly Foundation, urging the fashion industry and model agencies to comply with “body image friendly” criteria, including the banning of ultra-thin female models or overly muscular male ones. The guidelines also encourage a range of ethnic diversity, model sizes, and age-appropriate use of models.

David Koch meets outraged mums at the 'nurse-in' protest

David Koch has responded to the controversy he caused and “vitriol” he copped over his comments on the hot issue of public breastfeeding, but has he excused his actions or is he just making it worse?

Writing in today’s Daily Telegraph, Kochie has said he believes Australian women should be able to breastfeed “anywhere at anytime”, but he hasn’t backed down from his original stance that if women choose to do that, they need to be “classy” about it.

“Call me a dinosaur … respect is a two-way street,” he writes.

“Nursing mothers also need to be aware of the sensitivities of breastfeeding in public and return that respect by, when appropriate, being discreet and modest.”

Bringing his daughters into the debate, Kochie points out that his two breastfeeding daughters have differing opinion on the subject, one agreeing with dad, while the other might have been a welcome guest to the “nurse-in” held outside Sunrise studios in protest of her father’s remarks.

“One agrees with my views and tells me that when her mothers group meets at the local park they all use a muslin cover or a baby sling to feed,” he wrote.

“My other daughter has torn strips off me and says she should be able to feed anywhere, anytime and however she wants: ‘If someone has a problem, it’s their problem not mine’.”

Highlighting that his wife Lib breastfed their four children in public, “everywhere from trains, planes and automobiles to the Vatican”, he said she’d always chosen to do in a discreet and practical place.

“I suppose, if I’m honest, one of the underlying reasons I’m so passionate about issues like respect, modesty and courtesy in everything we do is we’re seeing less of those values in modern society. It seems we’re becoming more and more self-centred rather than community-centric,” he writes.

“Being a new mum is a gift. It’s one of life’s wonderful experiences. You are special but you’re still part of a diverse community which deserves all of our respect,” he writes.

When The Weekly’s columnist Zoe Arnold opened up on this subject yesterday, she argued that while most mums don’t like exposing their breasts in public any more than Kochie likes seeing them, they are a food source for babies, and any mum given the choice between a screaming baby and a content, well-fed one, will opt to get their boobs out.

“No, it’s not particularly ‘classy’ I guess, what aspect of motherhood is?,” she wrote, and many of our readers agreed.

While Kochie has taken up considerable air-time and newsprint explaining his actions and fuelling the breastfeeding debate, it doesn’t appear he’s budged on his controversial position.

He’s acknowledged his “dinosaur” views, yet maintains them.

Drew Barrymore has revealed she will tell her daughter about her addiction past, when the time is right.

The 37-year-old actress, who became a mum for the first time last year, vowed to chat show host Oprah Winfrey this week that her daughter Olive would be told the truth about her own troubled upbringing.

“I will absolutely instill in her that you cannot be ashamed of the journey that it took, you know, to get where you are if you are proud of yourself,” Drew revealed, fighting back tears.

“But I will also try to instill in her that I did not have guidance and that is why I lived my life that way. And although I am proud of it and I don’t want to spend the rest of my life regretting it, there is no option for her to take that path because she has guidance.”

In the emotionally-charged interview, the Charlie’s Angels star announced she was determined to give daughter Olive the stable childhood she’d never had herself.

“I will be there at 3pm in the school line waiting to pick her up. That is first and foremost. I think that as a kid that’s what I craved the most… just believing that that was going to be there – (my mother) being there in that school line.”

Drew shot to fame in the Spielberg classic ET at the tender age of four, and was plagued by drug and alcohol addiction for much of her youth.

In the interview with Oprah, which airs in the U.S. on Sunday, the former child star also reveals how she decided against inviting her mother to her wedding to Will Kopelman last year.

“[My mother] was not there, which was very hard. We both discussed it and thought it would be best for her not to come.”

Mum-of-two Zoe Arnold has news for David Koch: mums don’t like exposing their breasts in public any more than he likes seeing them — but any mum, given the choice between a screaming baby and a content, well-fed one, will opt to get their boobs out. Anywhere, anytime.

One day I was breast-feeding my five-month-old in the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney. I was sitting at a café with a girlfriend when I noticed an elderly woman — probably in her 80s — walking towards me.

My immediate thought was that I hope I hadn’t offended her. I shouldn’t have worried: this lovely old lady came to me, put her hand on my shoulder and said, “You’re doing a wonderful job. Good on you for feeding her in public”.

I felt touched by her support. And proud of my body for doing what it’s meant to do.

I guess the QVB is an area David ‘Kochie’ Koch would deem ‘high traffic’. If you missed it, Kochie told us late last week that breastfeeding in public needed to be carried out in a “classy” way, and continued his retro opinions this morning, urging women to be “more discreet and modest”.

I don’t know any breastfeeding women who like getting their breasts out in public. I know I haven’t loved the sensation of wrestling a screaming baby to my chest, while trying to fumble through my shirt to find a nipple she can latch onto.

It’s not elegant, but it’s natural and necessary if you’re a breastfeeding mother.

My children have always preferred a quiet room, removed from noise and any other distractions. But, it’s 2013 and I don’t stay at home all day nursing my baby while I cook and clean for my husband. Sorry, Kochie. Times have changed.

Both my kids were breastfed for around a year — and with both girls I had to feed them in public.

I did feel self-conscious whipping a nipple out in a café especially when mid-feed my baby would swing her head off, leaving me with a nipple leaking milk everywhere.

No, it’s not particularly ‘classy’ I guess, but what aspect of motherhood is? Much of our children’s first years revolve around fluids: the mess of labour, lactating nipples, endlessly dirty or wet nappies.

People like Kochie who tell us we should turn our chairs around while nursing; so as to not offend anyone, need to pull their heads in. Breastfeeding is natural, but it’s often bloody hard work and those of us who choose to do it should be encouraged, not told it’s a dirty little secret we should hide away.

It took me six weeks to get the hang of it. Six weeks of cracked nipples, lotions, nipple shields and pain. Pain worse than labour that would cause me to kick my legs out and scream.

Once I mastered it, it was great. My boobs came everywhere with me and my baby and I breastfed on planes, in cafes, on park benches … wherever and whenever my baby needed them.

You see more breasts in your local shopping mall: women wearing low cut tops where their cups runneth over. More breasts at the beach: tiny bikinis and — look out! — topless sunbathers. And Kochie wants us to cover up there, too. Our breasts are now so sexy even feeding a baby is offensive to a man’s libido.

Well, I find your comments offensive, Kochie. Breasts aren’t so sexy when they’re full of milk. They’re a food source. For babies.

And any mum, given the choice between a screaming baby and a content, well-fed one, will opt to get their boobs out. Anywhere, anytime.

In an emotional interview with Oprah Winfrey, Drew, 37, said she plans to tell Olive all about her drug use when the four-month-old grows up.

She said she doesn’t believe her daughter will follow the same path because she will be there to support her in a way Drew’s own mother, Jaid Barrymore, never was.

She got engaged to Leland Hayward at just 16, but the relationship ended before she walked up the aisle. The following year she got engaged again, this time to actor Jamie Walters, but split from him after eight months.

She married Los Angeles bar owner Jeremy Thomas in 1994, but the union broke down just two months later.

Her second marriage to comedian Tom Green in 2001 lasted longer, ending in divorce just over a year after the wedding.

Drew said the main motivation for her to finally settle down was to provide a stable life for Olive.

“I think that’s as a kid what I craved the most, was just believing that was going to be there. Being there in that school line. I think the world offers so many wonderful varieties of obstacles but that shouldn’t be one for kids — the worry that my parent won’t be there.”

The pair reportedly paid just $30,000 to the surrogate mother of their newborn son Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John, the same woman who gave birth to the pair’s first son Zachary.

The payment was in accordance with the rules of the Centre for Surrogate Parenting in Encino, California, which sets strict payment fees so that special treatment is not given to wealthier clients.

The unnamed woman, who the pair “treat like a sister”, received $26,160 for giving birth to Zachary in 2010, and will receive a further $32,700 if the couple choose to have a third child through her.

But being a surrogate is not an easy task and candidates go through a lengthy process before being selected. The Californian centre used by Elton and David only accepts women who are non-smokers, physically fit and are already bringing up a child of their own.

“They do it so they can bring joy and light to married and gay couples who wouldn’t otherwise be able to have children,” a source told The Sun.

The excited pair did not include the name of the child’s biological mother on the birth certificate, putting David’s name as the child’s mother, while Elton is listed as the child’s father. They announced the birth last week in Hello! magazine.

“Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable,” they said in a statement.

“The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way.”
