Karise melts down: I quit!

Karise melts down: I quit!

The Voice winner is pushed to her limit by the pressure of stardom and online bullies.

From her astonishing first audition on The Voice it was clear Karise Eden is a sensitive soul. “I am very introverted… so it is really hard to be in this position,” she admitted during filming last year. “I am scared of the success, because I wouldn’t know how to deal with it.”

Now it seems Karise’s fear of fame may have been well-founded, after she released an emotionally wrought statement on Facebook last week. “I’m a REAL person,” she wrote. “I am a 20-year old young woman from Wyoming who shot up overnight. I as many walked around confused, unsure and with no direction then BANG you won the voice and all these people want you, all these people that shut you down before care about you. I give every fragment of me to you all when I open my mouth and sing and it can take its toll.”

In an open letter explaining why she was deleting her personal Facebook account, the usually reserved singer opened up about her struggle with online bullying.

“I’m very emotional and sensitive… I take a long time to get over things, I hurt easily… I get offended easily and I take little things to heart,” she explained. “I am not interested in having a keyboard warrior fight with you all. This is why I’m putting a stop to it all and its another reason why i’m never on here!”

*Big Brother*’s Layla: Look at me now!

Big Brother's Layla: Look at me now!

With a new gig on Celebrity Apprentice, the reality show runner-up has her sights set on a sexy new figure.

As the preen queen of Big Brother’s 2012 cast, Layla Subritzky, 24, should have relished the chance to doll up for magazine photo shoots after leaving the house. But despite the hair and make-up artists, photographers and stylists buzzing around her, she couldn’t have felt more frumpy.

“I cried because I hated my body and I just felt gross. I freaking hated it – I was the most uncomfortable, awkward person ever,” she says. “I was at a swimwear shoot and I just didn’t want to get my body out. I said, ‘I can’t do it – I can’t physically do it!’” It’s a far cry from the confident British-born beautician who migrated to Australia a year ago.

“I’d never really struggled with my figure,” she says. “That’s never been on my mind, I’ve always been happy and confident with my body.” But in 2001, Layla was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder that caused her weight to fluctuate wildly. “The summer before last I was a size 6. I was ridiculously skinny, you could see all my bones sticking out. I was so sick, my thyroid had gone so overactive.”

After taking medication to stabilise the illness, Layla gradually gained weight. “I’m currently at the fattest I’ve been in years,” she said just before entering the house. Unlike some housemates who spent all their time working out, Layla skipped the treadmill in favour of getting to know people. Little did she know her thyroid began to wreak havoc on her metabolism once more, and the weight soon began creeping on. “By the end I was like, ‘Oh, I am gross,’” she says. “I knew everything was getting tighter and I was wearing baggy clothes because I was really uncomfortable.”

Prince Harry’s Vegas ‘lover’ writing tell-all book

Prince Harry's Vegas 'lover' writing tell-all book

Carrie Reichert (© Facebook) who claims to have drunkenly kissed Prince Harry in Las Vegas.

The model who claimed to be Prince Harry’s lover during his now-infamous Las Vegas trip last year is writing a tell-all book about her escapades with the party prince and other celebrities.

Carrie Reichert, 40, has penned more than 500 pages of celebrity stories she says she has collected over two decades of partying in her home town of Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

As well as her version of what happened with Harry in Vegas, tales of the LA party girl’s scandalous escapades will feature Tiger Woods, Jude Law, Robbie Williams and basketball legends Charles Barkeley and Michael Jordan, The Daily Mail reports.

Reichert also claims she will talk about include Sir Mick Jagger and Jack Nicholson, as well as celebrity party girls Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears.

The beautician and massage specialist shot to international prominence after she allegedly partied naked with Harry in hotel room. She later claimed to have had a “drunken fumble” with the prince.

The 40-year-old, who at the time claimed to be 32, detailed the alleged royal romantic encounter which she described as a 20-minute “kiss and grope” in an interview in September 2012.

Shortly afterwards, she was arrested over a cheque fraud scandal. She was accused of writing four bad cheques worth a total of $21,672 in 2003 and spent almost one month in Mississippi jail, one of America’s toughest prisons.

Insisting the cheques were the result of a failed business venture, she later made astonishing accusations that Harry’s minders and the British secret Service arranged for her to be imprisoned to keep her quiet.

As well as revealing more about what happened that night in Vegas, Reichert hopes her new book will help to “set the record straight”.

“I am writing a book about what happened with Harry and other people too,” she said.

“I want to put the record straight on the many things, which have been said about me in recent months. I think many people will be surprised at my life story.”

The author says she will “not hold back” on details, and a spokesperson from Bad Girls PR who are representing her says gossip-hungry readers will not be disappointed.

“She has hung out and been in unique positions with many celebrities and well known people.

“We are keeping the stories under wraps until the book’s release. But during early meetings, we have been shocked and surprised by what she had to say.

“I cannot say too much, but I feel there may be some stars quaking in their boots when this is published.”

A source close to the author has likened the anticipated content to other scandalous literary works.

Beyonce’s miscarriage: ‘It was the saddest thing’

Beyonce' miscarriage: 'It was the saddest thing'

Beyonce has opened up about her miscarriage for the first time, revealing it was “the saddest thing” she has ever been through.

The 31-year-old fell pregnant to husband Jay-Z several years before the pair welcomed their daughter Blue Ivy.

“About two years ago, I was pregnant for the first time,” Beyonce reveals in her new documentary Life Is But a Dream.

“I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life. I picked out names.

“I envisioned what my child would look like. I was feeling very maternal.”

But in the early stages of her pregnancy she sadly lost the baby.

“I flew back to New York to get my check up-and no heartbeat,” she said.

“Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine, but there was no heartbeat.”

The singer turned to music to help her through her pain, writing the first song on her album about her experience.

“It was the best form of therapy for me, because it was the saddest thing I’ve ever been through,” she said.

Jay-Z also turned to music, making reference to the miscarriage in his track Glory.

When Beyonce did fall pregnant again she said it was “very much like falling in love”.

“You are so open. You are so overjoyed,” she said.

“There are no words that can express having a baby growing inside of you, so of course you want to scream it out and tell everyone.”

The documentary aims to show Beyonce in a more natural light, with the star opening up about her life out of the spotlight.

“People see celebrities and they have money and fame, but I’m a human being,” she says in the documentary.

“I cry, I get scared, I get nervous just like everyone else.”

David Beckham to donate entire salary to kids’ charity

David Beckham

The latest move in David Beckham’s football career has pleased Parisians and will put smiles on the faces of children in need — the soccer icon has signed a deal with French league leaders Paris Saint-Germain and promised his entire salary to charity.

The 37-year-old decision to sign with Paris was a let-down to some Australian fans who were hoping the midfielder might side with an A-League team like Perth Glory, Melbourne Heat and the Central Coast Mariners, who were all reported to wish to welcome Beckham to their clubs.

But even the most hardened and loyal A-League followers could not be disappointed in Becks’ decision to donate his entire salary to a children’s charity.

“We decided on something that is quite unique — I won’t receive any salary,” he said.

“We have decided that my salary will go towards a local children’s charity in Paris. And that’s one of the things we are very excited and proud to be able to do.”

The contribution would be worth an estimated $140,000 per week, totalling approximately $2.85 million over the course of the five-month contract Beckham have just signed.

Although he’s only signed until the end of the season, Beckham, who has been without a club since leaving Los Angeles Galaxy last year, has indicated he would consider staying on longer, dispelling rumours his career may be coming to an end.

“I’m 37 years old and was offered a lot of offers, more now than I’ve had in my career, and at my age. I’m honoured by that. I chose Paris because I can see what the club are trying to do. I can see the players the club are bringing in,” he said.

“I might have only signed a contract until the end of the season, but I consider myself to be part of this club in the future, in helping this club to grow, in helping the French league to grow, in helping this club become one of the biggest powerhouses in football.”

The father-of-four and husband to pop star turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham will be based in Paris until at least June 30 when his contract expires while his family remains in London.

Beyonce Knowles reveals miscarriage pain

Beyoncé has spoken for the first time about her heartbreaking miscarriage in her upcoming documentary for HBO, Like a Dream.
Beyonce and husband Jay-Z

Beyoncé has spoken for the first time about her heartbreaking miscarriage in her upcoming documentary for HBO,Like a Dream.

“About two years ago, I was pregnant for the first time,” the notoriously private singer revealed. “And I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life.”

“I picked out names … I envisioned what my child would look like … I was feeling very maternal.”

Tragically, Beyoncé miscarried just days later.

“I flew back to New York to get my check up — and no heartbeat,” she said.

“Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine, but there was no heartbeat.”

Understandably devastated, she turned to her music to help her deal with her grief.

“I went into the studio and wrote the saddest song I’ve ever written in my life,” she said.

“And it was actually the first song I wrote for my album. And it was the best form of therapy for me, because it was the saddest thing I’ve ever been through.”

The famous singer has never publicly talked about her loss before now, though equally famous husband Jay-Z referenced it in his song ‘Glory’.

Though the song is a tribute to the couple’s daughter Blue Ivy, Jay-Z speaks of Beyoncé’s first pregnancy, rapping, “Last time the miscarriage was so tragic, we was afraid you’d disappear, but nah, baby, you magic”.

Beyoncé also spoke about the joy of being pregnant in the candid interview.

“Being pregnant was very much like falling in love,” she said. “You are so open. You are so overjoyed.”

“There’s no words that can express having a baby growing inside of you, so of course you want to scream it out and tell everyone.”

Though she admits she was “scared to death” of birth, Beyoncé says it ended up being akin to a religious experience.

“It’s the most powerful thing you can ever do in your life,” she said. “It was amazing … I felt like God was giving me a chance to assist in a miracle … You’re playing a part in a much bigger show.”
