Pippa Middleton is poised to follow her sister Kate down the aisle, telling friends her boyfriend of four months is “the one”.
Pippa, 29, has been dating 35-year-old banker Nico Jackson since March and friends says she is completely smitten.
Nico is likewise lovestruck and would have proposed already if Pippa wasn’t so keen to make sure she didn’t steal her older sister’s thunder ahead of the birth of the royal baby.
“An engagement is definitely on the cards,” a close friend told the UK’s Mail on Sunday.
“The last time Nico spoke about Pippa to his friends back home in Folkestone, he was totally buzzing about her. He is in his element right now.
“He has never been happier and this is really what he wants. Pippa has also told her family that Nico is the one.”

Pippa is reportedly preparing to move in to Nico’s South Kensington apartment and out of the Chelsea flat she once shared with Kate and now shares with their brother James.

William and Kate are expecting their first child, but it could arrive earlier than anticipated.
With the birth of their first child just days away, William and Kate are about to embark upon the next chapter of their royal fairy tale, but in 2007, their romance almost fizzled out for good.
After weeks of looking unhappy in public, William called time on their four-year relationship and then headed straight to the nearest nightclub where he reportedly shouted “I’m free!” before being photographed groping a Brazilian fan’s breast.
But just three months later the couple were back together and planning to wed. Now, a new book has revealed the real reasons behind the royal reunion that caught almost everyone by surprise.
Kate by Marcia Moody details the events surround the break-up and the abrupt make-up, explaining why the couple split and what drove them back together.
Moody says the first sign there was trouble in paradise was in March 2007, when the couple couldn’t raise a smile as they attended the Cheltenham festival, the same event they’d kissed publicly at the year before.
“A rot had set into their relationship,” Moody writes. “There was no longer any disguising the fact that William was unsure of his future with Kate.”

The couple — whose romance blossomed at university — was clearly facing a crossroads in the months after re-entering the real world.
When William’s father Charles was facing a similar impasse in his relationship with Diana, Prince Philip told him he needed to end things or get married. Charles proposed and William saw first-hand how disastrously that ended.
When it came to his own relationship stalemate, William inevitably went the other way, keen to avoid the same fate as his parents, Moody writes.
William was initially thrilled with his decision, partying and playing polo with gay abandon. Kate was devastated, but didn’t show it. She put on sexy dresses and hit the social scene like never before.

The newspapers were full of photos of her looking tanned and terrific and appearing to have a time of her life, despite friends saying she was “very down”.
“Instead of weeping at home, she kept herself busy. She said yes to a slew if invitations and, in public at least, appeared more vibrant and sociable than she had been for a some time.
“Kate was still only 25, a single girl with the world at her feet. Although she was heartbroken, she wasn’t going to show it. Her dresses grew shorter, her tops lower.”
Ironically, given it was his father’s mistake that led William to dump Kate in the first place, it was another of Charles’ mistakes that drove the couple back together.
At the time, Charles was happier than ever after finally marrying the love of his life Camilla, the woman he failed to marry when they dated in their 20s.
The spectre of this error hung over the rest of Charles’ life, ruining his subsequent marriage and breaking up his family, and William worried the same fate awaited him if he let Kate get away.
“William didn’t want to make the same mistake,” Moody writes. “He had broken her heart and she wanted to make sure that if they did get back together, it would be for the right reasons and that things would change.”
He started trying to win Kate back and by June 9, they were a couple again.
Two months later, William whisked Kate away to the Seychelles. During that break they made a pact that they would one day be husband and wife.
Their commitment to each other hasn’t wavered since that day. They got engaged three years later, married in April 2011 and are now just days away from starting a family of their own.

Hollywood star Isla Fisher has joined Aussie actress Melissa George in laying into Home and Away, while also admitting it helped launch her movie career.
“Home and Away taught me how to look good in a bikini,” she said of playing Shannon Reed on the show from 1994-97. “And how to deliver bad dialogue convincingly.”
However, in making the comments to London newspaper The Observer, the 37-year-old also gave credit where credit was due. “For a long time I was auditioning for films that weren’t very good, but I’d always get called back because I could make a terrible line sound real,” she said. “For that, I’ll always be grateful.”

Last week, a romantic reunion began for the estranged couple, who flew to Los Angeles with their two children, Charlie, 9, and Tennyson, 7, to spend two weeks rekindling their relationship.
Staying in a $10,000 a night Beverly Hills Hotel bungalow, they relaxed around the pool with the kids before hitting the town on a series of child-free dates. Russell even let the world in on his new happiness, casually mentioning in a tweet that he was “just having a chat with Dani”.

With the expectant Duchess at the height of her popularity, no-one admires her more than her husband.

While many women have their husbands on hand for foot rubs during their pregnancy, William – away for days at a time at his Royal Air Force base in Wales – has often been forced to do his best to comfort Kate via Skype chats.
Meanwhile, Kate continues to worry that William might miss the birth if she goes into labour while he is off doing his duty piloting a helicopter to save lives in a search-and-rescue mission.

Paul Keating has proven you’re never too old to be a style icon. At 69, the former prime minister is back on the front page thanks to a snazzy pair of red suede loafers.
Mr Keating was on page 1 of Sydney’s Daily Telegraph today, not because he was having lunch with current Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, but because of the unusual shoes he donned to dine.
Instead of classic black, brown or tan footwear, Mr Keating opted for bright red ruby slippers.
It was a style statement that saw him ridiculed by some, but celebrated by fashionistas, who have applauded the former politician’s bold dressing.
The Weekly’s style director Judith Cook was thrilled to see Mr Keating had chosen something a little bit more exotic than his “boringly dressed” lunch companion Mr Rudd, and thinks all Aussie men should follow in his impressively-shod footsteps.
“Go the red shoe!” Judith says. “They’re fabulous and all Aussie men should have a pair.
“It’s the perfect Sunday lunch outfit — it shows a bit of personality and fun. What other choice do men have to make a fashion statement when they’re not wearing a tie?
“A loafer is an ongoing seasonal classic. Every European man owns them and more men in Australia should too. As far as I’m concerned his shoes couldn’t be more perfect.”
