Monaco’s Royal sibling wedding fever

Monaco's Royal sibling wedding fever

Everyone enjoys a wedding, but nothing beats a royal affair.

Monaco will be the picturesque scene of two royal weddings this year, with siblings Andrea and Charlotte Casiraghi, second and fourth in the line to the Monaco throne respectively, both set to tie the knot.

Andrea, 29, is marrying heiress and socialite Tatiana Santo Domingo, also 29, on August 31. The couple, who have been together for eight years, announced their engagement in July last year.

Andrea’s sister Charlotte, 27, will wed her partner of two years, Moroccan-French comedian and actor, Gad Elmaleh, 42, a few months later. The couple are also expecting their first baby at the end of the year.

Like most weddings, eyes will be firmly on the bride – and the dress. Both brides-to-be are fashion icons – Tatiana runs her own fashion label, Muzungu Sisters, while Charlotte has appeared on the cover of French Vogue – so expectations are high!

Mary’s little Princess’s first day of school

As royalty they’re used to big events, but this week Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark faced one of the most significant days in their lives as parents: their daughter’s first day of school.

Princess Isabella, who turned six this year, had a spring in her step and a smile on her face as she skipped out of the gates of Amalienborg Palace ahead of her first day at Tranegard School.

Princess Mary looked every bit the proud parent as she held her daughter’s hand and posed for photographs, just as she had done with son Prince Christian two years ago.

Royal selfie to be official Prince George portrait?

Royal Selfie To Be Official Prince George Portrait?

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge look set to defy royal tradition by using a personal photo of Prince George and themselves, taken at the Middleton family home, as their official family portrait.

Traditionally, the royal family would hire a professional photographer to take the first official portrait of Prince William, Kate and newborn George.

However, reports suggest that the Duchess might insist on taking her own intimate snaps of her new family.

These royal selfies would then be released on social media platform Twitter, or the couple’s website, as soon as next week.

“The whole point of these photos is that as many people have access to them who need to and we will find the easiest way of doing that,” a royal source told People magazine.

Kate and George have been staying at the Middletons’ home in Berkshire, 90kms west of London, since William returned to work with the Royal Air Force at the beginning of August.

While Will and Kate are very respectful of family traditions, this isn’t the first time the couple have gone against royal customs.

Since the birth of George, the couple have refused to hire housekeeping staff or a full-time nanny.

Instead, the loved-up couple are savouring the chance to be hands-on parents, happily carrying out mundane tasks like nappy changing and grocery shopping.

Harry to take Cressida on holidays to where William proposed

Prince Harry and on again - off again love interest Cressida

Prince Harry and his current love interest, Cressida Bonas.

Is Prince Harry planning something?

The Prince will whisk away girlfriend Cressida Bonas on safari in Africa — the very place his brother Prince William decided was perfect to pop the question to Kate in 2010, the Daily Mirror reports.

The couple will spend a week in Botswana with friends including Harry’s younger cousin Princess Eugenie.

Prince Harry is said to be “very fond” of the 24-year-old dance student, according to friends, and they go to great lengths to keep their relationship private after his last serious relationship reportedly fizzled out following rumours she was uncomfortable with the focus and attention that royal life brings.

Cressida, who comes from an aristocratic family, is said to be similarly uncomfortable in the royal spotlight and the couple are rarely photographed together.

They were spotted kissing on the ski slopes shortly after they started dating last July, and friends have described their relationship as a “full-on romance”.

Harry’s decision to holiday with Cressida in the spot where his brother decided to get down on one knee has rumours of the Party Prince finally settling down whirring again.

The 28-year-old Prince is currently in Angola on a private visit to Princess Diana’s landmine charity the Halo Trust.

Cressida is believed to be flying out this weekend with Eugenie, 23, and her boyfriend.

Last month a friend of the couple told E! News Harry was convinced his blonde partner was “the one”.

“I would not be surprised if she’s the one he marries,” the friend said.

Jen Aniston rallies celebrity friends for Justin’s birthday

Jen Aniston rallies celebrity friends for Justin’s birthday

A star-studded list of celebs flocked to Jennifer Aniston’s Bel Air mansion on Saturday to help celebrate fiancé Justin Theroux 42nd birthday.

Reading like the opening credits of a Hollywood blockbuster, the A-list invitees included Ellen DeGeneres, Tobey Maguire, Ben Stiller, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Aussie star Isla Fisher.

While the event was heralded as a casual affair, there was nothing casual about the elaborate location. The 75 guests gathered on the patio at Jen’s luxurious $23 million estate and were served hors d’oeuvres and champagne by the We’re The Millers star’s personal chef.

The sexy couple celebrated Justin’s birthday on the eve of their one-year-engagement anniversary; the actor proposed on his 41st birthday last year, sparking rumours of a surprise wedding.

However Jen has previously explained she’s in no rush to get married and, in fact, already feels married to the handsome film director.

“We just want to do it when it’s perfect and we’re not rushed… when no one is rushing from a job or rushing to a job. And, you know, we already feel married,” she said.

Princess Mary’s greatest honour: Our Aussie queen!

Mary's greatest honour: Our Aussie queen!

The princess and Frederik are taking over the Danish throne…

Queen Margrethe of Denmark has decided to take a well-deserved break – and she’s handing the royal reins to her son Prince Frederik and our very own Princess Mary.

Denmark’s 73-year-old monarch admits she isn’t the sprightly leader she once was and struggles with back pain. So she and her husband Prince Consort Henrik are taking a three-week vacation at the royal holiday residence, Chateau de Cayx, in southern France, leaving Frederik, 45, as regent, and Mary, 41, to lead their subjects.

It’s only a matter of time before the royal pair officially assume her place, but it won’t come through an abdication from Margrethe, who has ruled since 1972.

Danish magazine Her & Nu says that while Fred and Mary will be increasingly asked to represent the country, it’s not in the nature of the Danish royals to support Margrethe giving up the throne all together.

TV beauty Alex Wileman is... fit, fab and 52!

Decades after she sizzled in the Mello Yello ad, the bikini legend is back, as sexy as ever

Ask dazzling TV model Alex Wileman how she feels about posing for our bikini shoot at 52 and she laughs. “I’ve spent my life in swimsuits, they’re like a second skin to me, so posing in a bikini doesn’t bring on a wave of panic attacks.”

Best remembered for her time as host of The Cartoon Connection and the Lotto draw, Alex is happy to bare some skin for the camera, at a time when most of us are reaching for a cover-up. But these days, she says, she’s a realist.

“I know I’ll never look the way I did in 1983. I’m totally comfortable with my body – accepting its pesky sags and everything else that comes with age.

“What you see is all me. Hand on my heart – though I indulge in the occasional spray tan!”

Prince Harry follows in Diana’s footsteps

Prince Harry follows in Diana's footsteps

Prince Harry spent this past weekend in Angola, Africa, walking the same war-ravaged roads his mother travelled just before she died in 1997.

Harry, 28, has kept his mother’s humanitarian legacy alive by committing to a cause that was close to her heart, The HALO Trust, a British charity organisation that works to clear landmines in countries like Angola.

Harry is the patron of HALO’s 25th anniversary appeal.

HALO CEO Guy Willoughby thanked the young prince for following in his remarkable mother’s footsteps.

“Prince Harry’s invaluable support in our 25th anniversary year will help us to raise awareness of this important issue so that we can raise funds to recruit and train more deminers to get more landmines out of the ground more quickly,” Mr Willoughby said.

“Many people don’t realise that wars might be over, but people are still being killed and maimed by landmines every day – there were more than 4000 victims of landmines in 2011.”

This is the Prince’s second trip to Africa with HALO, having visited Mozambique in 2010. On that trip he met landmine victims, detonated several mines and spent time with a team of HALO deminers.

The removal of landmines plays an important role in the future of these countries, allowing people to build homes and plant crops safely. HALO has so far destroyed over 1.4 million landmines, making 31,413 hectares of land now safe.

Christy Turlington proves she’s still got it in Calvin Klein ad

Christy Turlington proves she's still got it in Calvin Klein ad

She became one of the world’s most famous supermodels when she kicked off her career with a Calvin Klein campaign.

And 25 years later, Christy Turlington has proved she’s still got it, reprising her role as the face of the underwear brand at the age of 44.

In a new ad for the brand the mother-of-two looks just sensational as she did at the start of her career showcasing a few black pieces from the designer’s underwear collection.

Turlington is sultry with slicked-back hair in the black and white ad that harks back to her early days as a 90’s supermodel, and is a little reminiscent of Brad Pitt’s recent Chanel commercial.

Christy speaks to the camera throughout the 30 second video.

“Clothes tell a story. Sometimes it’s true, sometimes it’s what you want people to think,” she says.

“But this is what I really feel, it’s not a secret, just personal. You might be surprised. Just between you and me.”

Before becoming a CK model, she became the face of the brand’s popular fragrance, Eternity, and told theTelegraphshe preferred her ambassadorial role to modelling.

“Gosh yes — there’s nothing rewarding about modelling,” she said.

“It was a fun opportunity that allowed me to see the world but spiritually and intellectually there is nothing rewarding about that profession at all.”
