Chris Hemsworth to play Hulk Hogan?

Chris Hemsworth to play Hulk Hogan?

Shirt-ripping wrestler Hulk Hogan has his eye on Aussie hunk Chris Hemsworth to play him in a new movie about his life.

The 60-year-old WWE legend told Toronto’s Cape Breton Post that he thinks the only star who could play him in a movie would have to be a worthy and experienced actor, naming the sexy Thor star as his number-one choice.

“I think we need a serious, serious actor that knows what he’s doing. You know who I thought would be good? That guy that did the action movie Thor,” Hulk said.

The wrestling star has not yet said when the movie will begin production, so fans shouldn’t expect to see Chris squeeze into Hulk’s tiny yellow budgie smugglers any time soon.

“The truth is… two kids that are writers in LA, hot young writers, they did a four-page treatment, and I’m telling you they nailed it. They nailed it like they were living in my shoes and I gave them the green light to go ahead and write the first pass,” Hulk explained.

Prince William: George is rascal who never sleeps

Prince William: 'I'm so protective now that I'm a father'

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their son Prince George.

Prince William says his new son George is a “little rascal” who takes after his mischievous uncle Harry.

In his first interview since becoming a father, William said his then two-week-old son was keeping him and Kate on their toes.

“He’s a little bit of a rascal, put it that way,” William said. “So he either reminds me of my brother or me when I was younger. I’m not sure.

“He’s a little fighter. He wriggles around quite a lot. And he doesn’t want to go to sleep that much, which is a little bit of a problem.

“I’m up a little bit at night. Not as much as Catherine but she’s doing a fantastic job.”

William said becoming a father had changed him forever, in ways he never imagined possible.

“I think the last few weeks for me have been just a very different emotional experience,” he said. “Something I never thought I would feel myself. And I find, again it’s only been a short period, but a lot of things affect me differently now.

“For me, Catherine, and now little George are my priorities. And Lupo.”

William revealed he changed George’s first nappy, under the watchful eyes of staff at St Mary’s Hospital.

“I wasn’t allowed to get away with [not doing it],” he said. “I had every midwife staring at me, going, ‘You do it, you do it’.”

William also spoke about the “daunting” moment he and Kate stepped outside the hospital to introduce their new baby to the world and the reasoning behind his decision to drive his new family home himself instead of entrusting the important task to a chauffeur.

“I am as independent as I can be, same as Catherine and Harry,” he said. “We’ve all grown up differently to other generations. If I can do it myself, I want to do it myself.

“There are times the system takes over or it’s appropriate to do things differently but driving your son and your wife away from hospital, that was really important to me. And I don’t like fuss so it’s much easier to just do it yourself.”

William devoted a large chunk of the interview to discussing his commitment to wildlife conservation in Africa.

He said he hoped his son would inherit his love for the continent but for now would just be happy if the baby starting sleeping through the night.

“At the moment, the only legacy I want to pass on to him is to sleep more and maybe not have to change his nappy quite so many times,” he joked.

William was interviewed for new documentary Prince William’s Passion: New Father, New Hope, which will air on CNN and ITV on September 15.

Eschewing fancy photographers, the couple instead chose two snaps taken by Kate’s father Michael Middleton.

The relaxed shots were taken in the garden of the Middleton’s Berkshire home, where the new family spent three weeks shortly after George’s birth.

Even the family dog Lupo got a share of the spotlight, appearing in one of the images alongside a Middleton pup called Tilly.

George was very well behaved on his first public outing.

“Well, he’s got a good pair of lungs on him, that’s for sure,” Prince William said.

Kate passed the baby carefully to William.

“It’s the first time we’ve seen him really so we’re having a proper catch up.”

“It’s very emotional and such a special time,” Kate said.

“He’s got her looks thankfully,” Prince William said.

British fashion icon Grace Coddington has returned to modelling with a cast of fellow ‘leading ladies’ at age 72.

The former model and creative director of American Vogue stepped into the fashion world and fell into modelling at the age of 17.

But her catwalk career was cut short at the age of 26, she was in a horrific car accident where she lost an eyelid and had to facial reconstructive surgery.

She was famous for her fiery red hair, and more recently her role in the documentary The September Issue, which highlighted her creative role at Vogue, feisty attitude and relationship with Editor Anna Wintour.

Now, as one of the faces of department store Marks & Spencer’s latest fashion campaign, she has comfortably stepped back in front of the camera at 72.

Coddington joins silver siren Helen Mirren, and a cast of Britain’s “leading ladies” who have assembled to pose for photographer Annie Leibovitz to front the campaign.

In an interview about the shoot, 68-year-old Helen Mirren told the Times “as women pass the age of 45, it doesn’t mean they’re not interested in fashion any more. You don’t have to start looking like a granny.”

Prince George is Williams little "rascal"

It looks like the Royal family has another cheeky prince on their hands, with William likening little George to a young Prince Harry.

“He’s a little bit of a rascal, I’ll put it that way. He either reminds me of my brother or me when I was younger, I’m not sure,” William tells CNN.

Prince William speaks candidly to the network about his new role as a father on a one-hour special called Prince William’s Passion: New Father, New Hope, which airs September 5.

In the interview, Wills admits that although he doesn’t always enjoy the attention of the press, he did enjoy the reception he received at the hospital after George’s birth.

“I think I was on such a high anyway, and so was Catherine, about George that really we were happy to show him off to whoever wanted to see him,” Wills says.

“As any new parent knows, you’re only too happy to show off your new child and, you know, proclaim that he is the best-looking or the best everything.”

In the interview, Wills speaks passionately about his family’s happiness and their relatively normal life at home: “I am as independent as I want to be. I very much feel if I can do it myself I want to do it myself. I don’t like fuss so it’s much easier to just do it yourself.”

Wills says Mum and baby are doing well, and even their dog Lupo has settled into his new role.

“[Lupo] is coping. He’s been slobbering around the house a bit, so he’s perfectly happy.”

Victoria Beckham: Too Posh To Cook?

Victoria Beckham: Too Posh To Cook?

If you’ve ever wondered how former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham keeps her tiny figure, it’s with a lot of help from a friend – her personal chef, that is.

In an interview with Vogue Australia, Victoria, 39, revealed that her chef cooks her breakfast, lunch and dinner three days per week and then freezes a selection of gourmet meals for her and her family when he is unavailable.

It’s the wealthy version of Lite n’ Easy.

Despite the A-list star having high-profile chef friends (her bestie is Gordon Ramsay’s wife, Tana), the glamour icon admitted to being hopeless at cooking but blames it on lack of time to prepare and learn.

With a team of assistants doing not just the cooking but all the cleaning and much of the child-wrangling, Victoria is freed up to do her daily 75–minute workout each morning before dropping the Beckham clan to school and getting to her London office by 9am.

Although she has a small army of helpers, a world-famous husband, travels the world in a private jet and took a helicopter from her recent Vogue shoot to her son’s parent-teacher interview Victoria insists she’s actually rather normal.

“Honestly, once the children are in bed, I’d rather work or shove on a face pack and pluck my eyebrows,” the fashion entrepreneur says, playing down the high-life. “By the time Brooklyn’s finally gone to bed, it’s all I’m fit for. Really, we’re much more normal than people think.”

British military accused of murdering Princess Diana

British military accused of murdering Princess Diana

UK police are investigating the credibility of new information they have received that accuses the British military of murdering Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed.

Almost 16 years after their deaths, Scotland Yard announced in a statement on Saturday that an officer from its specialist crime and operations unit is assessing new information about the 1997 Paris car crash that took the lives of the Princess of Wales and her lover Dodi Fayed.

But they were also careful to point out that they will not reopening the case that killed Prince William and Harry’s mother.

Speculation and conspiracy theories have long surrounded the death of the “People’s Princess”, with Dodi’s father, Mohamed Al-Fayed, being a chief proponent of the notion Di and Dodi were killed by MI6 at the behest of the Duke Of Edinburgh.

However, UK newspaper the Telegraph has reported that, despite the many previous conspiracy theories, this one is being taken seriously enough to warrant further investigation.

In 2008, a jury ruled that the Princess and her boyfriend were unlawfully killed due to their driver Henri Paul’s reckless and negligent driving while under the influence of alcohol.

The new speculation surrounding Princess Di’s death must be a sore spot for Prince William, who just welcomed his first son into the world a month ago.

Police probe Diana murder claims

Police probe Diana murder claims

Prince Diana

Claims of murder have reignited conspiracy theories and encouraged calls for a new inquiry into the death of Princess Diana.

Britain’s Metropolitan Police service is “scoping information that has been received in relation to the deaths and assess its relevance and credibility”, they said in a statement.

An eight-page letter written by the mother-in-law of an army sniper is believed to have come to police in 2011, claiming that the SAS had “arranged Princess Diana’s death” and that it had been “covered up”, the Daily Mail reports.

The claims have been rubbished by the former head of the Met Police, Dai Davies, who was in the role when Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed were killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997.

An inquest into their deaths found the couple had been unlawfully killed due to “gross negligence” of their driver, Henri Paul, who had been drinking, and also blamed paparazzi who pursued the car.

In line with the opinion of many royal commentators and some close to the Royal family, Mr Davies has said he is “mystified” by the latest theory, and firmly believes the crash was “an accident, by any definition”.

“I am absolutely convinced this was an accident so I’m mystified, after 13 years, how any new information can possibly allege anything other than that this was a tragic accident.”

Former bodyguard to Princess Diana, Ken Wharfe, has expressed concerns over the amount of time it has taken Police to investigate the claim.

“The police have to look at it because of the level of the crime alleged,” Wharfe said, going on to express doubt toward the validity of the claims.

The developments have been welcomed by the family of Mr Paul, who also died in the crash.

“We believe there was a plot to kill the Princess that terrible night in August 1997,” Mr Paul’s 83-year-old mother told The Mail.

“We know in our hearts that our son was murdered and we still live with the hope that one day the truth will be known.”

Diana’s sons Prince William and Prince Harry have declined to comment on the latest theory.

After the inquest, the Princes welcomed the jury’s decision and expressed their gratitude to the jury and the medical staff who fought to save their mother’s life.

Naomi Watts says she was visited by the ghost of Princess Diana

Naomi Watts as Princess Diana

Australian actress Naomi Watts is understandably nervous about playing one of recent history’s most iconic figures, Princess Diana, but she has drawn reassurance from an encouraging visit from Diana’s ghost.

Watts, who takes on the role in a biopic about the final two years of Diana’s life, says that the Princess gave her permission to play her from beyond the grave.

In an interview with UK’s Mail on Sunday, the actress said she felt very close to Diana while researching and playing the iconic role, and recalls the moment she believes she received approval from the People’s Princess herself.

“I kept wondering to myself ‘would she like it?'” she said.

“So I found myself constantly asking for permission to carry on. I had saturated myself with Diana and her life and I felt this enormous responsibility of playing this iconic women.

“It felt like I was spending a lot of time with her. There was one particular moment when I felt her permission was granted. That won’t sound right in print, I know.”

The actress admits she felt a lot of pressure playing one of the most loved and famous characters of her lifetime, and hesitated to take the role.

“There was a lot of hesitation on my part before I agreed to do it,” she said.

“Obviously I was taking on one of the most famous women of my time, and an awful lot of pressure comes with that.

“You want to get it right, and everybody is going to have an opinion on the film and how she should be portrayed. It’s very daunting.”

The film explores the largely untold story of a love affair between the late Princess of Wales and heart surgeon Dr Hasnat Khan.

Producer Robert Bernstein tells the story of the couple, who had reportedly planned to start a new life together in Australia, in a fair and non-voyeuristic way.

“The way we are treating the relationship is one of a romantic and tender nature, in keeping with how we feel about Diana and her life,” he told the Mail on Sunday.

“It’s a very aspirational, sympathetic portrait and not voyeuristic. Our sense of their relationship was that it was very spiritual and sensitive, as well as difficult obviously. We are handing it very sensitively.”

The leading lady also expressed concern over Diana’s sons, Princes William and Harry’s reactions to the film, saying she would “hate to upset them”.

“I hope they feel good about it,” Watts said.

“It’s a piece of history we’re all interested in and at some point the story had to be told.”
