A frosty Prince Harry has emerged from a giant freezer where he spent the night in preparation for an upcoming charity trek to the South Pole.

After spending 20 hours in temperatures as low as -55 degrees with wind chill in the simulated polar environment, the 29-year-old Prince blew into his hands and rubbed them together to warm up.

The cold didn’t get to the chilled out helicopter pilot’s sense of humour, summing up the night he and his four teammates had experienced in one word: “Cold!” and joked to one member of the waiting media outside the chamber “now it’s your turn”.

The Prince spend the night in the freezer in preparation for a gruelling 330km race to the South Pole in November as a patron of the Walking Wounded charity.

The point of the exercise was to get used to the conditions using the clothing and camping gear he will use on the expedition, and learning how to avoid frost-nip and frost-bite in the climate in Antarctica.

When asked what was the most difficult part of the exercise, he replied: “Going in”.

The Army helicopter pilot is to trek with a team of injured British servicemen — all of his four teammates have amputated limbs caused by injuries sustained in Afghanistan.

He took part in a similar five-day trek to the North Pole in 2011.

With his military training and preparation for the November trek, Major Maj Philp, who spent the night in the sub-zero tent with Harry said he was “a good extra pair of hands” during the training exercise, but the young royal won’t get any special treatment on the trek.

“We wouldn’t let it be any other way and he wouldn’t want it to be any other way,” she said.

“It’s great having Harry along, and hopefully he appreciates it too. It’s a chance not just for him to experience all the practical stuff that we’ve just done as well, but for us to get together as a team and start to get to know each other better.”

A lingerie model who strutted her stuff on the catwalk at London Fashion Week has revealed she was born a man.

Nicole Gibson’s dreams of becoming a runway model came true this week when she donned a designer dress to take part in the Catwalk for Change show, which was put on to challenge the lack of diversity in the fashion industry.

She said she was thrilled with how the show went and felt she’d finally “made it” as a model.

Nicole, 32, from West Sussex, was born a boy called Glen. She came out as a gay male when she was 16 and began wearing women’s clothing and makeup at 25 before beginning hormone therapy two years ago.

She now has a body most women would kill for, including 32B breasts. Her new feminine figure quickly caught the eye of a photographer, who took a series of sexy lingerie shots to launch her career as a model.

“I was shocked that he asked me and didn’t think I’d look as womanly in just my underwear,” Nicole told the UK’s Daily Mirror. “But I loved the pictures and realised I was actually quite sexy.

“People who have seen the photos tell me I could give the Victoria’s Secret Angels a run for their money.”

Tomorrow, Nicole’s transformation will be complete, as she undergoes a sex change operation.

She is nervous but excited ahead of the surgery and eagerly anticipating the first time she can have sex as a woman.

“I can’t wait to have sex as a woman for the first time, and having seen how much interest I get from men it’s something I can’t stop thinking about,” she said.

“I’m sure there are some guys out there who wouldn’t mind experimenting, but sex as a man doesn’t feel right to me. I enjoy a snog but that’s as far as it goes now. I’m saving myself.”

Nicole says her family fully supports her decision to become a woman and have fully embraced her new life.

“I’m really lucky as my mum’s been brilliant and loves having another girl around,” Nicole said.

“My dad’s been great too — he totally accepts me for who I am. He’s so sweet and always panics when he slips up and calls me ‘son’.”

Now 42-year-old Justin – who popped the question just over a year ago – has revealed how his life has changed since he began dating the 44-year-old We’re The Millers star.

“It’s a bit like going to a slightly different altitude, you know?” he tells GQ of the relentless paparazzi attention.

“I call them photojournalists, actually. When I get complimented on the street because I’m having twins… [that’s weird, too].”

He’s also had to compromise on some of his prized art collections that Jen isn’t so crazy about, after the pair moved into their recently renovated $22 million home.

“I have these beautiful wax-museum pieces – handmade, from the 1800s – from a museum of curiosities.

“They’re just these open mouths, with tongues, and in the throats are different stages, labelled, of syphilis and gonorrhea and whatever.

“Those definitely found a great place in my office in LA. They weren’t going to be above the fireplace anytime soon.”

Despite their decorating differences, the pair seem to complement each other.

Justin reveals they both fell in love with their new house because of the little guests already living there – a family of chickens!

“We inherited the chickens from the previous owners.

“They were like, ‘Of course we’ll get rid of the chickens’, and we said, ‘Are you crazy? Don’t get rid of the chickens. That’s half the reason we wanted this place.’”

It looks like Jen and Justin are willing to share the love, with Jen offering TV host Conan O’Brien a basket of eggs from her chickens when she appeared on his talk show recently.

Abi Lingwood won’t be forgetting her big day in a hurry. Not only did she marry her long-time love, Daniel, she also got to meet Hollywood heart-throb Brad Pitt!

The newlyweds got the surprise of their lives when they spotted the 49-year-old superstar at the Stoke Park Country Club & Hotel in Buckinghamshire, England, where they were celebrating their wedding.

“My husband said to me Brad Pitt was at the bar and that I had to go with him,” says the gushing 28-year-old bride. “So he dragged me across the hotel. I thought he was joking.”

Brad, who is sporting a new haircut, was in town shooting WWII film Fury at nearby Pinewood Studios and happily posed with the couple.

“He said, ‘Sure, no problem,’ and, ‘Congratulations, I hope you have had a great day. Let’s have a picture,” says Abi.

Brad, who is due to marry his fiance, Angelina Jolie, in coming months, even complimented Abi’s dress.

“He was lovely and said I looked nice,” she adds.

The pair were the only fortunate ones to spot Brad and when they announced to their reception who they ran into, guests scrambled to find the star.

“The girls were going wild and mental, so Brad and the people he was with went upstairs to a room for their meeting,” she says.

Abi got lucky a second time when she glimpsed the actor again the following morning in the hotel lobby. She describes her wedding as “amazing” and that meeting Brad topped off her special day.

“It was more of a talking point than my wedding, but that’s fine,” emphasises Abi.

Another week, another glamorous royal wedding, this time in Germany, where Luxembourg’s Prince Felix married Claire Lademacher in a casual civil ceremony.

The bride chose a short ivory dress with peplum detail, accessoried with aquamarine earrings and cream roses. Felix chose a dark suit and orange tie.

The couple looked blissfully happy as they waved to crowds after the ceremony, which took place in the village of Konigsteinm near the bride’s home town of Frankfurt.

Felix and Claire will marry again in a religious ceremony in front of 350 people on Saturday.

Claire is currently working towards a doctorate at a university in Rome.

She speaks German, English, French and Italian.

The couple’s civil wedding ceremony was short and sweet.

The couple chose a very odd car to drive away in.

They certainly raised eyebrows on the road.

Following reports her ex-husband Charles Saatchi is dating What Not To Wear star Trinny Woodall, Nigella Lawson is seeking comfort from New York celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain, best known for his Kitchen Confidential books and show.

The famously fiery Bourdain, 57, has been 53-year-old Nigella’s shoulder to cry on since her quickie divorce from Saatchi.

Nigella and Saatchi ended their 10-year marriage after pictures were published of him with his hands wrapped around her neck at a London restaurant.

He chose the same restaurant to meet Trinny in London last week.

Since the split, Nigella has relocated to LA, where she’s filming the second series of TV cooking competition The Taste with co-star Bourdain, who is married to his second wife, Ottavia Busia.

The pair has taken refuge together at the Chateau Marmont hotel, where Bourdain is offering her “emotional support” as she keeps a low profile.

“Anthony has really taken her under his wing and is looking after her,” a source told the The New York Post.

While Nigella has refused to speak publicly about her marriage breakdown, Saatchi released a statement following their divorce.

“I feel that I have clearly been a disappointment to Nigella during the last year or so, and I am disappointed that she was advised to make no public comment to explain that I abhor violence of any kind against women, and have never abused her physically in any way.”
