Is Prince Harry’s romance with Cressida Bonas on the rocks?

The world has been waiting for Prince Harry to propose to his current girlfriend but friends say they're preparing for him to dump her.
Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas

The world has been waiting for Prince Harry to propose to his current girlfriend but friends say they’re preparing for him to dump her.

Harry, 29, and Cressida Bonas, 24, have been forced to spend several weeks apart in the past few months and their once red-hot romance is said to be fizzling out.

“Talk of Harry and Cressida getting married could not be further from the truth,” an insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper.

“Indeed it wouldn’t be a surprise if they go their separate ways soon. It is actually Harry who has been moving on.

“He’s incredibly fond of Cressida and loves her company but has commitments and plans in other areas of his life that could be jeopardised by settling down. It’s not what he wants at this time of his life.”

Harry and Cressida have been dating for around 19 months but they haven’t seen much of each other in recent weeks. Harry was trekking in the Antarctic for four weeks late last year and they spent Christmas apart because girlfriends aren’t invited to the Queen’s official festive celebrations in Sandringham.

Shortly after Christmas, Cressida flew out to the Caribbean with her half-sister Isabella Calthorpe to enjoy some sunshine, meaning she and Harry weren’t together for New Year’s Eve either.

They flew out to Switzerland for a brief ski break last week, but are now back in London.

The worst photoshop fails ever

Diane Keaton photoshop

At 68, Diane Keaton is still one of the world’s most beautiful women but she obviously doesn’t look good enough for L’Oreal, which has been accused of over-airbrushing her for a new ad.

Keaton appeared on the Golden Globes stage last night sporting a refreshingly natural-looking face but immediately after her speech ended, the telecast cut to a L’Oreal ad which featured a heavily-retouched Keaton looking nothing like she did on screen just seconds earlier.

Viewers quickly turned to Twitter complain about Keaton’s new wrinkle-free face.

“Worst commercial placement ever. Diane Keaton wrinkled on #GoldenGlobes then ageless and wrinkle-free in L’Oreal wrinkle serum commercial,” one viewer wrote.

Another added: “Wow L’Oréal. Great timing. I guess Diane Keaton stopped using your product! #GoldenGlobes.”

Others praised Keaton for ageing gracefully without turning to plastic surgery or Botox.

Unfortunately, L’Oreal aren’t only brand guilty of a little overzealous retouching – here are some of the most embarrassing Photoshop fails.

Diane Keaton appears noticeably smoother in the L’Oreal Paris cosmetic commercial.

Lady Gaga thought Glamour magazine made her skin look “too perfect” and her hair “too soft”.

Teen queen Demi Lovato was dramatically slimmed by US Cosmopolitan.

Kate Winslet was horrified by the retouching on this GQ cover.

Redbook magazine dramatically slimmed country singer Faith Hill’s arm in this shot.

Heavy airbrushing appears to have removed a chunk of Demi Moore’s hip in W magazine.

Glamour appears to have removed part of Kristen Stewart’s arm in this shot.

Mariah Carey dropped about three dress sizes thanks to Elle.

What did Elle do with Kylie Minogue’s foot?

The model on the right of this Elle cover has a scarily stretched neck.

Russian Vogue vanished this model’s elbow.

Elle shaved inches off Jessica Simpson’s physique.

Mariska Hartigay appears stretched and elongated on the cover of Good Housekeeping.

Marie Claire elongated Eva Mendes’ neck and airbrushed her face almost beyond recognition.

UK Grazia infamously slimmed the Duchess of Cambride’s already tiny waist.

Good Housekeeping also appears to have crudely pasted Michelle Obama’s head from one body shot to another.

Tina Fey’s neck looks odd in this InStyle shot.

Wrinkle-free at 46? Sarah Jessica Parker looks very youthful on the cover of Vogue.

William has been made to look like a boy band member by Hello! magazine.

America Ferrera’s head looks like it has been cut and pasted from another shot on the cover of Glamour magazine.

Grow your underarm hair for charity

Is this the new 'Movember' for women?
Woman with hairy under arms

Smooth, hair-free underarms are so normal it’s a shock when you see a woman who isn’t bare under there.

Sydney Nurse Sylvia Tracey thought that shock factor could be turned into something good: raising money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Next month, Sylvia wants us to forget about our razor routine in the shower, cancel our beautician appointments and grow our underarm hair.

“Aussie men have Movember – us women need to have something unique and silly that we can do too,” Sylvia says.

“Despite all the advances, breast cancer is still the most common cancer for women in Australia. We can’t become complacent, and I think we need a new way to fundraise.”

Finding a cure is a personal mission for Sylvia. She watched her own mother die from breast cancer three decades ago. She had just graduated as a nurse, and felt guilty she was unable to help the person she loved most.

“For a year and a half, my mother got sicker and sicker, the cancer spreading throughout her body,” Sylvia says. “She was just 53 when she passed away.

“She was misdiagnosed when she first visited her GP, who told her she had a benign cyst. It was too late by the time they found she had cancer.”

Sylvia continues to work as a nurse, but wanted to honour her mother by doing something more.

“I am the same age now that she was when she died,” she says. “Women are still dying from breast cancer every day.

“A lot of people are freaked out about the idea of growing their underarm hair – I get that. But if you’re doing it to raise money for breast cancer, imagine the good you can do.”

For those too vain to stop hair removal, Sylvia has a few other options in mind. She suggests wig-wearing for charity, or hair removal for the boys.

“Wearing a bright wig to work will get you noticed, and get people talking about breast cancer,” she says. “And I haven’t forgotten the men either. Their role in Februhairy is all about removing their hair!”

Sylvia’s charity mission wants men to have their chests or underarms shaved or waxed.

“Februhairy is really for women, but I didn’t want Aussie men to feel left out, either,” she says.

“We can’t get complacent about breast cancer until women stop dying from this horrible disease. Growing your underarm hair seems like a little thing we can all do.”

National Breast Cancer Foundation CEO Carole Renouf has implored men and women across the country to get involved in Februhairy.

“Every dollar they raise helps move us one step closer to our goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030,” she says.

“We are continually inspired by the innovation, fun and enthusiasm our community fundraisers bring to breast cancer research.

“Februhairy is an example of the diversity of ways in which people fundraise for us and their commitment to Zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.”

On average, seven women die every day from breast cancer in Australia. To get involved, or donate to Februhairy, like the Facebook page. All donations received will go directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
