Miranda Kerr says she’s more sexually confident since split and that sex keeps her in shape

Miranda Kerr has left little to the imagination in a photo shoot and article that are explicit even by today’s standards.

She’s a former Victoria’s Secret model whose Instagram feed is teeming with sexy pictures and provocative poses, but even by Miranda Kerr’s standards the photos and article in this month’s GQ are explicit.

Appearing in the men’s magazine the Australian model wears little more than a pair of black hold-ups or a sheer, perforated white singlet. But even more revealing are her comments about her sex life after separating from husband of three years, Orlando Bloom, six months ago.

Hinting at forays into bisexuality and with comments like “now that I’m having less sex my body isn’t as toned”, the model and mother appears to relish exposing her intimate details.

Ellyse Perry left out of soccer team

Ellyse Perry poses in her Matildas jersey.

The 23-year-old, who is in Bangladesh starring for Australia in the Women’s World Twenty20 cricket tournament, was left out of the 23-player Matildas squad to face Brazil in this month’s two-match series in Brisbane.

Matildas Coach Hesterine de Reus confirmed to The Daily Telegraph on Monday that Perry wouldn’t be considered for this year’s AFC Women’s Asian Cup either.

“It’s not a concern to play two sports – I think in Australia it’s very common to do that – but when you play at the highest level you need to invest a lot of time to become a world-class player,” De Reus said.

“To do that with two sports at the same time is a bit harder. It’s a good sign for the development of women’s football, that it’s harder to earn a spot in the team.”

Four years ago, Perry was faced with the decision whether to play for Australia at the ICC World Twenty20 or at the 2010 AFC Women’s Asian Cup which overlapped. She chose cricket.

At the age of 16, Perry became the country’s youngest ever athlete to represent Australia in both cricket and football.

Teen girl calls magazine out on surfer sexism

Olive Bowers wants more female surfers to be featured in Tracks magazine.

Olive Bowers wrote a letter to Tracks magazine, which labels itself as “the surfers’ bible'”, after finding a copy at her friend’s house.

The year 8 student at Princes Hill Secondary College in North Carlton said as she flicked through the pages, she only managed to find one woman. “She wasn’t surfing or even remotely near a beach. Since then I have seen some footage of Stephanie Gilmore surfing on your website, but that’s barely a start.”

In her letter to Luke Kennedy, the editor of Tracks, Bowers said she wanted to “bluntly address the way you represent women in your magazine”.

“I clicked on your web page titled ‘Girls’ hoping I might find some women surfers and what they were up to, but it entered into pages and pages of semi-naked, non-surfing girls,” she wrote. “These images create a culture in which boys, men and even girls reading your magazine will think that all girls are valued for is their appearance.

“I urge you to give much more coverage to the exciting women surfers out there, not just scantily clad women (who may be great on the waves, but we’ll never know).

“I would subscribe to your magazine if only I felt that women were valued as athletes instead of dolls. This change would only bring good.”

Kennedy said the magazine had covered female surfers extensively in the past but tended to focus on male surfers because men was its “primary audience”.
