The actress wore a strapless all black number to the film’s European launch in London’s Leicester Square and looked every bit the glam movie star as she cavorted around the red carpet smiling and taking pictures with fans.
Kate’s gown, which was cinched in at the waist and featured a no-fuss neckline, accentuated her killer feminine curves perfectly. The dress also featured a knee-high split up the leg to give it a sexy twist and show off her chic strappy heels.
The 38-year-old actress, who gave birth to her son Bear Blaze in December, says she is excited about her new sci-fi film role because it’s something her older children, 13-year-old Mia and 10-year-old Joe, might finally see.
“They have read the book so they are really excited to see how the film turns out and to see mum doing something completely different,” Winslet told the BBC. “They haven’t actually seen anything really that I’ve done before. They saw half of Titanic but that was about it.”
Kate, who plays the evil Jeanine Matthews, says she found the role difficult because of her pregnancy.
“I was nearly five months pregnant when we shot the film. And so every part of me is in the gooey happy mode, so to go to work every day and be a complete cow, I had to dig deep.”
