Dutch filmmaker Frans Hofmeester has produced an incredible timelapse, capturing his daughter Lotte, who was born in October 1999, and her transformation from a baby to 14-year-old teenager.

Hofmeester wrote on his personal blog: “Lotte is my daughter (born on 28-10-1999.) I filmed Lotte every week from the moment she was born. She was changing at a rapid pace.

“I felt the need to document the way she looked, to keep my memories intact. Other people might make a photo book, but I decided to film,” he said.

The proud father posted the video, which runs almost four minutes, on YouTube.

He also carried out the same process with his 11-year-old son, Vince.

The Duchess might be the queen on the water, but Prince William has proved himself on the rugby field in Dunedin today. The Duke coached a ‘Rippa Rugby’ team to victory over his wife’s team.

Despite having New Zealand All Blacks captain Richie McCaw on hand to support her team, Kate and the Pirates were no match for Prince William’s Clutha team, who took out the game 30-20 at the Forsyth Barr Stadium. The Prince could not help rubbing in his victory – telling his wife – ‘next time, next time’.

The royal couple arrived in Dunedin earlier this morning to attend a Palm Sunday service at St Paul’s Cathedral. They were given a traditional Maori welcome from the Ngai Tahu tribe, the main tribe on the South Island.

In stark contrast to the grey skies, the Duchess looked radiant in a teal dress by New Zealand designer, Emilia Wickstead, paired with hat by British milliner, Jane Taylor. It is the first time the new mother has worn an outfit by a local designer on her trip.

Michelle Obama’s Marilyn Munroe moment

The First Lady can thank her husband from sparing her from an awkward wardrobe malfunction as he caught her blowing skirt yesterday while boarding Air Force One.

President Barack Obama saved wife Michelle from an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction yesterday when her stopped her skirt from flying over her head while the pair boarded Air Force One in gusty conditions in Austin, Texas.

As the Obamas climbed the stairs to board the presidential jet the First Lady’s skirt was caught in the wind, but an ever attentive Barack kindly placed his hand over his wife’s backside to save her from a potentially humiliating photo-op.

The smooth Presidential pair seemed to see the humour in the situation as they were seen laughing to each other upon entering the jet. The Marilyn Munroe moment was reminiscent of The Duchess of Cambridge’s close call earlier this week.

Upon disembarking the Royal New Zealand Air Force jet in Wellington this week Kate Middleton’s Catherine Walker button-down coat was caught by a strong gust which almost saw the Duchess red faced. Luckily, the outerwear’s heavy fabric was a little too heavy and the new mum was spared an awkward flash of her undergarments.

But the royal and the First Lady aren’t the only ones who have had to giggle their way through a windy day. There are plenty of stars who have bared far more than they bargained for.

Michelle Obama had a Marilyn Munroe moment boarding Air Force One.

The Duchess of Cambridge had her hands full with baby Prince George when her Catherine Walker coat was caught by a gust of wind in Wellington on April 7.

Kate Middleton struggled to keep her canary yellow dress down at Calgary airport while she toured Canada with Prince William in July 2011.

Katie Holmes baby blue sun-dress was no match for the wind as she is snapped with her skirt up.

Kate Moss is as cool as a cucumber as her skirt blows up in the wind on the street in London in July 2013.

Isla Fisher’s floral dress seemed intent on flashing some flesh as the actress attends a windy red carpet event.

Sarah Jessica Parker was nearly blown from one end of Manhattan to another as she filmed a scene for Sex and the City in New York.

Matthew McConaughey’s wife, Camilla Alves, had to giggle through the the premiere of her hubby’s movie, ‘Fool’s Gold,’ in 2008 as her dress tried to float around her neck.

Emma Watson’s gown bellowed in London while she did a meet-and-greet with fans at the world premiere of ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’ held at the Odeon Leicester Square.

Vogue editor, Edwina McCann speaks at the Australian Fashion Chamber seminar.

The Australian Fashion Chamber launched yesterday, with many of fashion’s upper echelon named as board directors.

Magazine editors, Kellie Hush, of Harper’s Bazaar; and Edwina McCann, of Vogue, joined forces for all things fashion, along with 13 other industry greats, including Carla Zampatti.

McCann was announced as chairman, while Hush will act as an executive director.

As the 13 billion dollar industry continues the struggle, the not-for-profit organisation aims to assist in educating the industry’s up and comers.

“With consistent mentoring, training and support we can build the Australian fashion industry to a greater scale than ever before,” McCann said.

“This is a very exciting time for Australian fashion. The board and I are committed to take our Australian talent to the world.”

Hush and McCann will soon be holding lectures with fashion colleges, universities and TAFE institutes, along with fellow board members. A coinciding international paid internship program is set to launch in December.

The first of the bi-annual training conferences will be held in November for the nation’s newest generation of designers. They will have media, finance and investment experts at their hands.

“The Australian Fashion Chamber is a welcome addition to Australia’s fashion landscape that will help foster talent and create sustainable, unique and inspiring businesses of which we will all be proud,” McCann said.

Oscar Pistorius story ‘improbable’

Oscar Pistorius outside the Pretoria High Court.

The athlete has admitted to killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day last year, but denies premeditated murder.

Pistorius has repeatedly said he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder in their home.

The Times reported that prosecutor, Gerrie Nel told the court yesterday that Pistorius had adapted his account.

I asked you first you said you didn’t see [Miss Steenkamp]. You said your hands were on your face. Now you are saying you could see a silhouette. You are adapting,” Mr Nel said.

“Your version is so improbable that nobody will ever think it’s reasonable.”

The trial continues.

Robert Hughes’ niece speaks: He’ll never hurt anyone ever again

Now actor Robert Hughes is locked up for child sex abuse, his brave niece tells Woman’s Day she can finally start to rebuild her shattered life.

Melinda O’Donnell says she ‘felt sick’ when she discovered former child star Sarah Monahan had come forward with allegations that she was abused on the set of Hey Dad!.

While no predator had been named at the time, Melinda said she had no doubt in her mind that Sarah was talking about her uncle Robert – her mum’s brother. For more than 10 years Mel herself had suffered at the hands of the man she describes as “evil”.

“I read every word in the Woman’s Day article and it was like Sarah had been a fly on the wall in my own life,” she says. “I knew that this was going to rip our family apart. I was pregnant with my second child and terrified but I also knew I had to come forward myself.”

Mel’s witness testimony, during a harrowing six-week trial, helped convict Hughes, 65, of 10 charges involving four victims, including two counts of sexual intercourse with a child.

Now, with Hughes awaiting sentencing on May 2, Mel is praying he gets the sentence she believes he deserves, life in prison, so that he can never hurt anyone again.

Read more from Melinda as she shares her story in this week’s Woman’s Day on sale Monday April 14, 2014.
