Kate and Wills at the Rock for money shot

Kate and Wills take a turn around Uluru at sunset, creating the most pictuersque images of the young Royal couple’s tour of Australia.

Basking in the setting Northern Territory sun and walking by each other’s side, there may not have been any hand-holding but the pair shared countless smiles as they enjoyed seeing the country’s most iconic natural landmark.

The Duke and Duchess will have a night away from Prince George, who remains in Canberra, before returning to the ACT tomorrow via Adelaide.

Kate Middleton recycles dress for Uluru trip

Known for her love of a budget buy, the discount Duchess has today reworked one of her favourite high-street ensembles.

Kate had a quick change from her Roksanda Ilincic dress, opting for a 50s-inspired grey and cream dress from Hobbs.

The Duchess teamed the look with a white woven belt and her favourite summer slingback wedges.

She previously wore the dress while visiting Bacon’s College on July 26, 2012 in London, England.

Apart from her love of high street fashion, Roksanda Ilincic is among Kate’s favourite designers. The royal has worn several of the Serbian born designer’s creations before, and in fact wore exactly the same cut from today back in July 2012 for a reception at the Royal Academy.

Elle’s bizarre beauty tips

Worth an estimated $60 million dollars, Elle Macpherson can certainly pay a pretty penny for some expensive pampering, but it seems the Aussie supermodel still loves a bargain when it comes to her beauty regime.

“The body” has opened up about the cheap beauty secrets that keep her in supermodel shape even at 50-years-old.

Elle confessed that rather than splurging on an indulgent hair treatment for her luscious blonde locks, she prefers to condition her mane in a bath full of beer.

“My mum always said to wash your hair in beer to make it shiny,” she told Yours magazine.

The Sports Illustrated cover girl also expressed regret about tanning her naturally fair skin under the scorching Aussie sun.

“Today, protecting my skin from the sun is so important. I wish someone had told me that when I was much younger.”

The model now says she only achieves the look of bronzed limbs through fake tan.

Elle joins other stars who have revealed their bizarre beauty tricks, but some of these we don’t recommend you try at home.

Elle only has to crack open a cold beer to get the secret ingredient to lush locks.

Victoria Beckham, 40, is rumoured to keep her perfect porcelain skin in tip-top shape by getting Japanese facials with an extra special ingredient – bird poop. Geisha Facials as they are called use nightingale droppings to form a cleansing paste. Sounds gross, but apparently it works!

Scarlett Johansson, 29, revealed in an interview that she cleanses her face with cider vinegar. “I researched natural skincare and found that apple cider vinegar is really effective. Using it as a toner can be harsh, but if you have breakouts it can be really healing.”

Catherine Zeta-Jones, 44, has found another use for the humble strawberry – she uses them to whiten her teeth. “The juice or pulp of strawberries contains malic acid which serves as an astringent and can lighten surface stains,” she said.

While on The Late Show in New York, Demi Moore, 51, told talk show host David Letterman she used leeches to detox. “I was in Austria doing a cleanse and part of the treatment was leech therapy,” admitted the mother-of-three in her 2008 interview. “These are not some low-level scavengers – we’re talking high-level blood suckers.” According to the actress the slimy insects release enzymes in the blood which optimise health.

Cindy Crawford, 48, supposedly sprays plain milk mist on her face to keep it hydrated. While it may be a bit on the nose there might be some magic behind this madness as milk is full of minerals, protein and calcium, all of which are essential for healthy skin.

Zoe Saldana credits her bohemian mother’s mayonnaise for her beautiful shiny hair. “My mother was a hippie and very health conscious, so growing up, she always encouraged my sisters and I to be as natural as possible,” says the 35-year-old. “She gave us a book she bought at a garage sale about natural beauty remedies and we used to look up everything, like how to make masks out of oatmeal or give our hair highlights using henna tea or even rum. Once a year, we all still get together and put mayonnaise in our hair for old times’ sake.”

Teri Hatcher, 49, once told Britain’s Daily Telegraph that she pours a glass of red into her bath every day for its skin-softening effects. The Desperate Housewives star believes her youthful complexion is enhanced with the antioxidants found in the vino’s grapeseed oil.

Funny woman Sandra Bullock, 49, confessed to using haemorrhoid cream under her eyes to reduce puffiness. “I didn’t realise that putting haemorrhoid ointment on your face is acceptable in the beauty business,” says Sandra. “But apparently, butt cream helps lines around the eyes!”

On a 2010 episode of her show The Price of Beauty, Jessica Simpson, 33, tested out a rather ticklish Japanese foot treatment known as a fish pedicure. During this spa treatment feet are submerged in water filled pint-size piranhas that nibble away the dead skin leaving it soft and smooth.

Wearing another number by Roksanda Ilincic for her first trip to Central Australia, the Duchess looked stunning in a sleeveless mauve dress and nude pumps, while Prince William opted for chino pants and a short-sleeved khaki shirt.

Lorde’s not happy about her photoshopped “new nose”

The 17-year-old took to Twitter to post a shot from her photo shoot with Canada’s FASHION magazine and captioned her disappointment about her suspected digital rhinoplasty.
Lorde

The 17-year-old took to Twitter to post a shot from her photo shoot with Canada’s FASHION magazine and captioned her disappointment about her suspected digital rhinoplasty.

“Apart from the fact that I’m pretty sure this magazine gave me a new nose I really like this photo,” wrote the New Zealand native.

Grammy winner Lorde is Fashion magazine’s May cover girl.

But the publication’s Editor-in-Chief Bernadette Morra, denies using any digital alteration on their cover girl’s nose.

“I can assure you, FASHION Magazine did not give Lorde a new nose,” Morra said in a statement. “Sometimes lighting or camera angles can give the impression that things look smaller, larger or different than they really are.”

The singer is fast becoming a body image champion with her Twitter messages promoting positive body image.

Earlier this month the teenager shared two photos taken from the same performance at Chile’s Lollapalooza festival that appeared to show her blemished skin had been cleared up via some tricky airbrushing.

The young performer used the caption on the contrasting images to remind her 1.5 million Twitter followers that “flaws are ok”.
