The sixth season of Game of Thrones premiered lasted night and boy was it shocking!
The show had us gasping till the very last second!
While Jon Snow still may be very much dead (be still his no longer beating heart), hope may lie within one the series’ creepiest characters -the Lady Melisandre.
As the first episode is titled The Red Woman, after her nickname, it seems GoTs resident witch may have something up her sleeve.
But before we could find out, something more pressing than the potential revival of Jon Snow occurred… Lady Melisandre revealed that she’s been keeping a very big secret since she first appeared on the series.
Unveiled in the episode’s final scene, Melisandre has been keeping her appearance magically disguised all along. Her true visage isn’t that of 39-year-old actress Carice van Houten — instead, she is immensely older.
Apparently the magical object helping her weave her illusion is all thanks to a ruby necklace she always wears. Fingers crossed there something in that choker that can revive our favourite dead character.

This is the first time the television series has overtaken George RR Martin’s original novels.
Somehow it was more jam packed than ever featured many more of our beloved and hated characters.
Jon Snow’s sister Arya Stark seems to be having a real poor time but her sister Sansa may finally got some sense! Having leaped to freedom over the Winterfell battlements with poor Theon, the pair were rescued by Brienne Tarth and Podrick.
In sunny Meeren, Tyrion Lannister makes being confused a very attractive quality, while his lost queen Daenerys seems to have landed herself in a whole lot of trouble.
Her reunion with the Dothraki didn’t go as planned and it seems Khaleesi might have a one way ticket to death… and her dragons are nowhere to be seen.
What’s a Game of Thrones episode without the vile Cersei and her kind yet misguided brother and lover Jamie?
The secret parents are mourning the loss of their daughter Myrcella. No doubt Cersei will be going full Lannister very soon, and heads will roll for kingdom come!
So what could possibly top all that… the discovery that Septa Unella is actually breathtaking.
During a pre-show interview for HBO, Hannah Waddingham discussed her infamous shame scene… and fans were delighted to see the English star out of costume!
“Lena and I had a great laugh doing that, I have to say. We absolutely got on like a house on fire, and at times, we were told off by the director because we were just having way too much fun!”
Watch the horrific scene in the player. Post continues!

The starlet also chatted to Vulture about the lack of vanity in the show.
“I’m sure Septa Unella doesn’t have any vanities, but come on! Can I have a little bit of concealer? Or bronzer, or something? A little bit of mascara? ‘No!’”
“The first time I went into the makeup trailer, we braided my hair really tight, so that you wouldn’t see any of it at all, put the wimple on, and then they brushed my eyebrows the wrong way, and then added in some hairs where most women would take them out!”
“Like, seriously, is there a hidden camera somewhere, testing me? And that was it.”
Remember the Irish singer Enya and her eerily soothing song ‘Sail Away’ released in 1988? Have a listen in the video above.
Well, despite the fact she’s sold 75 million albums around the world and holds the title of the richest woman in British and Irish music history, she’s always been a mystery.
She’s worth $169 million and lives in a castle – yes, a castle – next to Bono, but she’s never even toured as a solo artist. In fact, she’s only ever been spotted in public twice in 10 years.
The 54-year-old is a complete mystery, and lives with her cats (at one point, she had 12) in her home near Dublin.
Following a split from her family band Clannad at age 21, she started writing music with Nicky Ryan (Clannad’s producer), and his wife Roma, which led to their release of their first album.
But it was their second LP called Watermark that really put them on the map, with Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) that sold 11 million copies worldwide. Their success continued.
Enya won four Grammys and was nominated for an Oscar for her music on the Lord Of The Rings soundtrack, but very rarely performs live. She only does rare, intimate gigs on Irish or US TV shows.
The music she creates with the Ryan’s are unusual and eerie. Vocals (which are often overdubbed more than 500 times) are sung in English and Gaelic, plus made-up languages created by JRR Tolkein and Loxian.
A lot of her success came from good timing – her song Only Time was picked up by CNN in 2001 as a backdrop to 9/11 footage, and when it was released as a charity single, it sold by the bucket loads.
Even her family barely sees her, with her uncle Noel Duggan saying: “We don’t see much of her. She lives like a queen. She is a recluse.”
“Throughout the music business there’s no one else who is so successful about whom so little is known. She doesn’t socialise, she’s barely seen out of the house, there aren’t any clues in her lyrics about her life,” an industry insider revealed.
“Even at her album launches, label bosses will hold a large event rather than ask her to do individual interviews, as they make her so uncomfortable.”
“She’s a huge question mark. With the exception of the Ryans, even people who have worked with her for years know nothing about her.”
Enya once commented on her love life, saying that music is her first and present love.
“Falling madly in love and getting married would be the most horrific thing that could happen. My affairs are with melody and words and beautiful sounds,” she said.
“I had partners. But I find long relationships, well, how can I say it without appearing strange?”
“I’m too much devoted to my music. Some people think it sounds sad but believe me, I’m happy. I am my music.”
For the first time in seven years, she released a new album in November last year called Dark Sky Island, and made a rare performance this month at the Echo Awards in Berlin.
Prince Harry has always had a soft spot for Australia and his compassion for his friends Down Under was on display yesterday, as he nearly broke down at a service to commemorate Anzac Day.
The redheaded royal attended a dawn service at London’s Wellington Arch Cenotaph on behalf of his grandmother the Queen, who turned 90 last week.
As thousands of Australians and New Zealanders looked on, Harry laid a wreath on the cenotaph before standing back to pay his respects.
Harry was visibly moved by the service and at times appeared close to tears as he heard tales of the soldiers’ bravery in the face of extreme danger.
Australian High Commissioner to the UK, Alexander Downer, also attended the service, and gave a moving speech about the sacrifices Australian and New Zealand soldiers made on that fateful day.
“When we reflect on Anzac Day we imagine the Gallipoli landings, what it must have been like, at dawn on the water, in sight of that rugged shoreline – and a collectively held breath, a leaden silence about to be broken,” he said.
“We consider the enthusiasm, the courage, and the heroism of the Anzac troops – ordinary men fighting for God, King and empire, for their mates, for adventure, for a world without war.”
Anzac Day has been celebrated in the UK every year since 1916, when King George V attended a service at Westminster Abbey.
Services in London are now extremely popular with the expat community and draw huge crowds, often in excess of 10,000 people.
Anzac Day commemorates the disastrous Australian and New Zealand Army Corps landing at Gallipoli at dawn on April 25, 1915.
“The line given was that they were going to have lunch and a private tour of the rest of the set. What really happened is that the director came over and told them it was time to ‘get suited’ and off they went to the wardrobe department,” an insider said.
“The Princes dressed up in full Stormtrooper gear and filmed a scene in which Rey and Finn infiltrate a secret base. The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicio del Toro’s character when a group of Stormtroopers enter – two of whom are William and Harry.”
We certainly hope these rumours are true!
William and Harry were the envy of Star Wars fans everywhere last week when they got to tour the Star Wars set and even partake in a real life lightsaber duel.
The royal brothers – both huge fans of the sci-fi franchise – engaged in an animated mock fight using the famous swords, and were visibly thrilled by the experience.
Harry also got up close and person with Chewbacca, while both brothers played with C-3PO and met the original Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill.
William confessed he was a “geek” when it came to Star Wars and one look at his delighted face during the tour was enough to convince us he was telling the truth!
The royals have been busy this month, with William, Kate and Harry hosting US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama.
As usual, however, it was little Prince George who stole the show when pictures of him emerged meeting the presidential couple in his adorable white dressing gown.
Woolworths was trying to get a one-up on their competition by opening up their stores early on Anzac Day but as a result, they could now be facing a hefty $2.5 million fine.
The supermarket giant was found to have breached the strict Anzac Day trading restrictions in New South Wales, where the law states that Coles, Aldi and Woolworths are not allowed to open before 1pm, or have staff enter stores before this time.
But according to news.com.au some Woolies stores across the state let their staff in as early as 9am to get ahead on preparing roast chickens, bakery items and deli displays.
Staff were not allowed to legally enter the stores before 1pm this year, or prepare, receive or unpack any items.
A Woolworths spokeswoman wrote in a statement: “Clear direction was given to stores that volunteer salaried managers were allowed to enter and undertake certain limited preparations for opening at 1:00pm.”
“This is in line with the NSW regulations. We were keen to ensure our customers’ shopping experience today, as on all days, met their expectations.”
As proof of the breach, there are multiple images of food items with time-stamps well before 1pm at stores including Casula, Richmond and Engadine.
Woolworths competitor Coles wrote in a statement that they’d abided by the 1pm restriction laws, saying that as a result, some of their products, including roast chicken and freshly baked bread, weren’t available for a couple of hours after opening.
“While our stores in NSW were allowed to open from 1:00pm on Anzac Day, the NSW government would not allow our team members into stores before we opened so that we could prepare for our customers,” a Coles spokesman said.
“Unfortunately this meant that some products including roast chickens and store-baked bread were not available for a few hours after our NSW stores had opened.”

It’s alleged the 12-year-old girl was approached at Freshwater Beach on Thursday afternoon by the two men who then drove her to Brookvale, just seven minutes away, where they allegedly assaulted her.
The men were arrested on Friday afternoon and taken to Manly Police Station.
On Saturday at Parramatta Bail Court, the magistrate deemed the allegations of “violent sexual assault” as “serious” and both men were denied bail.
One of the men, 25, has been charged with three counts and the other man, 22, a single count of aggravated sexual intercourse.
One of the men is currently in Australia on a working visa from Italy. The court heard he has no criminal history.
In court the defence argued CCTV will be an important part of the trial.
The men will remain in custody ahead of an appearance via video link at Central Local Court on Thursday, April 28.
Married at First Sight’s Clare Verrall has wound up in hospital and it’s not a broken heart she’s suffering from – it’s a broken wrist!
Scroll down for video
And it happened in a spectacular fashion – according to an Instagram post she shared at 3am on Monday morning, it was an “epic dance floor stack” on a night out in Melbourne with fellow Married at First Sight star Erin Bateman.
Breaking the news to her Instagram followers, she posted a video (see below) from her hospital bed with the caption: “This is why I went on #MarriedAtFirstSight I SUCK at going out!!!”
The 32-year-old has been regularly updating fans and has been in good humour about the whole situation, despite the fact she’ll have to go through surgery to fix her wrist.
In another photo she shared to Instagram (see below), she wrote: “Next up “pulling the bones back into position” which sounds SUPER FUN then surgery, then I’m in a cast for 6 weeks. Who wants to sign my cast?”
It seems that Clare – at least prior to the painful accident – was out enjoying herself after dumping her on-screen faux husband Jono Pitman after a tumultuous two weeks of their ‘marriage’.
The Married At First Sight finale will screen on Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 9.
