Prince Harry: I still think of mum every day

The royal has revealed his plans to mark the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.

The 20th anniversary of his mum Princess Diana’s death is coming up next year, and Prince Harry is determined to mark it by creating something that will ‘last forever’.

The 31-year-old royal is in Orlando, Florida, at the moment for the Invictus Games, a tournament for injured servicemen and servicewomen around the world.

Telling Hello!, he said of himself and brother William: “We want to make sure that there’s something that she’s remembered by and there’s certainly not enough on the right scale in London or anywhere in the UK, that she’s remembered for.”

“Something needs to be put in stone or in place as a memory. Every single day we still think about her, so it would be very fitting on the 20th anniversary to have something that is going to last forever and is a proper recognition of what she did when she was alive,” he continued.

The prince also revealed how he got the Queen on board for the hilarious video where he dismisses Barack and Michelle Obama in a mock threat over the Invictus Games. In the video, his grandmother says “Oh really? Please.”

“She had great fun,” he said. “And I think it was almost as though you could see that look in her face, at the age of 90, thinking, ‘Why the hell does nobody ask me to do these things more often?’”

“We did one take from two angles. She’s the Queen, she’s busy!,” he added. “You don’t have more than 90 seconds to get that right. Also, she’s so incredibly skilled, she only needs one take.”

“Meanwhile, I was like a gibbering wreck. I was more nervous than anyone else. I was like, ‘We’ve got to get this right.’ And she just dropped the mic! It was great fun and I hope everyone enjoyed it.”

Ozzy Osbourne breaks his silence after divorce reports

Sharon skips work as her rock star husband addresses divorce rumours.
Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne has broken his silence after reports surfaced that he and his wife Sharon were splitting up.

Several stories out the US reported the breakup, citing both Ozzy’s alleged affair with hairstylist Michelle Pugh and a possible relapse into drugs and alcohol.

But the rock star has spoken out in an attempt to set the record straight.

“I have been sober for three and a quarter years,” he told E! News. “I have not touched drugs or alcohol in that time. Any reports that I am not sober are completely inaccurate.”

Ozzy was spotted for the first time since the split in Los Angeles on Monday, carrying a dog and still wearing his wedding ring (above).

While the 67-year-old seems set on making things a little clearer following the breakup, his wife Sharon has been very conspicuous in her silence.

Following news of the split breaking, the TV personality failed to show up for her hosting gig on The Talk, leaving co-host Julie Chen to explain her absence.

“As we get started, Sharon is not here today,” Julie said.

“There were many tabloid headlines of her and Ozzy, rumors and speculations that they have split up after nearly 34 years of marriage,” she explained.

Watch Julie address Sharon’s absence from work in the player below. Post continues after the video!

“Sharon understandably took today off and we are sending all of our love to her and to her family. And we ask that you do the same.”

Sharon is usually known for her outspoken and open nature and has previously had no trouble discussing the pair’s marital problems.

Her lack of willingness to talk could indeed show that she’s finally had enough.

Initial reports of the separation indicated that Sharon had confronted Ozzy with evidence of alleged infidelity and asked him to move out of the house.

If the couple has split for good this time, it will be the end of more than three decades of marriage.

The pair are the proud parents to Aimee, 32, Kelly, 31, and Jack, 30.

The couple in happier times.

The Big Short star spoke fondly of his parents in an interview with The Guardian in 2013, calling them “ very down to earth, kind, smart, generous people. They both grew up during the great depression and had a true sense of value: for possessions, for family, for each other.”

“My family can’t believe what I do for a living,” he continued.

“I think they give a signed headshot of me to anyone who asks … or anyone who doesn’t ask. They go to a doctor and they’ll say: ‘Would you like a picture of my son?’ They’re so proud and they’re really sweet.”

No charges over mum left to bleed to death after violent sex

She died after rough sex that left her with injuries worse than those sustained in childbirth, but no one will be charged.

A 33-year-old mother-of-seven bled to death in the back of her boyfriend’s car after sex so violent it left her with injuries worse than those commonly seen in childbirth.

Lynette Daley died of blunt force genital tract trauma at Ten Mile Beach on the north coast of NSW in January 2011.

Nine News reports her alleged boyfriend Adrian Attwater, 42, and friend Paul Maris, 46, both admitted to having sex with her in the car on the beach, but insisted it was consensual.

Tests later proved Daley was very intoxicated at the time of her death, with a BAC of .35, leaving her unable to consent to sex.

They then burned the blood soaked mattress Daley died on and some of her clothes before police arrived.

They were both initially charged with her death, but the charges were subsequently dropped and Daley’s family told no one would face justice over what happened to her, despite the NSW coroner saying the men’s versions of what had happened were “inconceivable and dishonest”.

Daley’s family are still struggling with the decision to drop the cases against the men, with her sister saying their life was empty since her death.

“We don’t celebrate birthdays, Christmas anymore. Life is not the same. It’s never going to be the same,” she told Four Corners.

Johnny Depp mocks Australia over apology video

The actor has made it clear how he now feels about the land Down Under.
Johnny Depp

It seems Johnny Depp has well and truly fallen out of love with Australia.

The Alice Through The Looking Glass star took time out of his press tour for the film to mock the apology video he and his wife Amber Heard made after they were caught smuggling their two dogs into the US.

The 52-year-old finally made it known how he felt about recording the message to a room of reporters at a press conference.

“I’m going to do this everywhere I go,” the actor confessed.

“I would really like to apologise for NOT smuggling my dogs into England, because it would have been a bad thing to do.”

The comment was met with an erruption of laughter from the crowd. Johnny, feeling bolstered by the response, added, “Because the Australians, they’re chipper.”

And it seems Tim Burton has also jumped on the bandwagon, with the director chiming in with, “I forgot to tell you. They’re dead. I sat on them upstairs by accident.”

“I tried to kill them after Australia,” the Pirates of the Caribbean star replied.

Amber and Johnny left court in Australia amid a flurry of media.

Johnny’s 30-year-old wife, Amber, narrowly avoided a possible jail sentence and $100,000 fine after she was caught not declaring she flew their Yorkshire terriers Pistol and Boo into Australia on a private jet.

Her husband had been in town filming a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

At the time, Australian politician Barnaby Joyce called for the pet pooches to either leave the country immediately or be euthanased.

See the drama unfold below. Post continues

No stranger to making fun of Australia, Johnny later said, “I killed my dogs, and a I ate them, under orders from some sweaty, big-gutted man from Australia.”

He was said to be referring to Barnaby.

The long and drawn out saga was referred to as Australia’s “War on Terrier”.

Instead of imposing jail time or a fine, the judge presiding over the case decided the movie stars should issue the bizarre apology video, as it would “offer more deterrence” for the Australian Department of Agriculture.

The Logies red carpet reveals new details on upcoming TV shows

It was a celebration of Australian TV last night at the Logie Awards, so we grilled a few well-known faces about upcoming programs and what we can expect.

The TV Week Logies is a celebration of Australian TV and recognising the incredible homegrown talent we see every night on the telly, but it’s also a chance for the actors to tell people their new projects.

Last night we chatted to a few celebs and got the gossip about upcoming TV shows and what we can expect!

  • Funnymen Fitzy and Wippa will be coming on board as hosts to revive the show 20 to 1. The comedy duo will be reviving the clip show once hosted by Bert Newton. Covering all things pop culture, sport, music, TV, movies and current affairs, we’ll be seeing it on TV at the start of June.

  • Scotty Cam told us a little about the new season of The Block! They’ve bought property in Port Melbourne and begin shooting in two weeks. They’re down to 20 couples at the moment so they’ll have a tough few weeks ahead to select the final contestants.

  • Bert and Patti Newton are teaming up and joining the all-star cast of Follies in Concert at the Melbourne Recital Centre on May 24 and 25! Patti said about the exciting news: “It’s an amazing cast with Lisa McCune, David Hobson, Nancy Haig. We’ve only got a cameo in it but it’s great.”

  • John Jarrat is returning for the third time as the terrifying outback serial killer Mick Taylor in the mini series Wolf Creek coming to Stan May 12. Co-star Lucy Fry told us: “You’ll be scared shitless for the first 20 minutes.” John followed up with “You’re not going to be disappointed. When we asked him if it was hard getting back into character, John said it was like riding a bike. “The first [film] was hard, then I worked it out and I realised I didn’t make a mess of it and people accepted the character I came up with so I knew it worked. After a while, it’s like riding a bike.”

  • We’ll be seeing The Block’s Dee and Darren Jolly on our screens again! Dee said last night: “The house we’re [building] is also being filmed on 9Life and there’s some other shows coming up on 9Life that you might see me on too!”

  • New Bachelor Richie Strahan and host Osher Günsberg walked the red carpet together “Very well, it’s all exciting, isn’t it?” Unfortunately, the two kept their lips sealed on when we can expect it to be coming to TV. “I will say one thing, this is the most fun, funniest shoot of all seasons of The Bachelor. The girls are super smart, super funny, we piss ourselves every night we watch the cocktail parties.”

Unfortunately we won’t be hearing much of Richie’s mutterings of ‘cool bananas’ this time round, instead he told he’s been saying ‘crikey’ a lot!

  • Jessica Marais told us a little about the new Channel 10 show The Wrong Girl. Based on the book by Zoe Foster Blake, Jessica plays the role of Lily, a woman navigating life and love and all that’s in between. “I just love going to work every day. It’s a completely different thing obviously to Love Child and I’m having so much fun working with such a great cast. I’m loving working in Melbourne, I think Melbourne the city has a very different vibe to Sydney and it’s almost like a third character in the show. I just laugh at work all day.”
