Mother of quintuplets shares beautiful photos

Proud parents from Perth have shared heartwarming photos of their newborn quintuplets – and the pics are stunning!

Proud parents from Perth have shared heartwarming photos of their newborn quintuplets.

In January, Kim and Vaughn Tucci from Perth, WA, welcomed to the world son Keith, and four baby girls – Ali, Penelope, Tiffany and Beatrix.

Kim already has three children – a nine-year-old son from a previous marriage and two daughters with her husband Vaughn.

But while it may be an overwhelming task to care for the young bubs, they’re beautiful little faces makes it all the more worthwhile.

In the professional photos by photographer Erin Elizabeth, the 26-year-old mother is embracing her tiny babies.

And they’re just adorable!

Recently speaking to 60 Minutes, she said caring for the little tots and having seven children under the age of five has been a struggle.

But despite the mammoth task of going through 350 nappies a week and feeding each infant eight times a day, the couple said they’re the happiest they’ve ever been in their life.

“No-one thought I could do it, and I did, I showed everyone in my life. So, I think it’s the first time that I’ve actually been proud of myself,” she told 60 Minutes.

She has a blog called Surprised by Five, and has started a GoFundMe page to help the family buy a nine-seater car.

Does Turnbull actually get what women really want?

We weigh up the pros and cons of each party’s budget promises for Australian women.

It’s easy to forget that just over a week ago Treasurer Scott Morrison handed down his first budget. Not long after, the Prime Minister fired the starters’ gun on the July election, so there wasn’t much time to check in detail what the budget offered Australian women or whether it treated you fairly.

The Opposition’s shadow treasurer, Chris Bowen, laid out Labor’s plans for the budget in Canberra yesterday, giving us a fresh opportunity to look at what the major parties think about Australian women.

It’s clear the Turnbull Government still doesn’t get it when it comes to treating women equally or fairly.

Financial security is a big issue for women: not only do you earn less but you have fewer dollars to put into in your superannuation account. Last week’s budget was meant to encourage women back to work by providing better childcare and improving superannuation.

The Government claimed the budget would “help” women build up a better retirement nest egg by extending a scheme that it initially tried – and failed – to scrap. The scheme, originally created by Labor when it was in government, will provide around two million women on low incomes with a refund of the higher taxes they pay on some super contributions.

That’s not “help” but fixing a distortion in the superannuation system.

Good news for super:

  • Allowing workers to put more funds into their spouse’s super

  • Letting women with less than $500,000 in super make “catch-up” contributions

However these changes won’t help if you don’t have a spouse or can’t afford to put extra super payments away.

Malcolm Turnbull with his wife Lucy.

There was no good news either in the budget for those of you with children, or planning to start a family.

Bad news for mothers and women hoping to start families:

  • The Turnbull Government stuck to the Abbott Government’s decision to stop new mothers from topping up base level, taxpayer-funded parental leave with payments from their employer. There will be no “double-dipping” under a government that Malcolm Turnbull leads.

  • There was also zip in the budget for childcare; in fact the Government postponed improvements to childcare subsidies that were promised in last year’s budget. Now the increases won’t apply until July 2018. This is because the Government plans to cut other parenting payments and family tax benefits to help pay for the changes. It blames Labor for the postponement of the subsidy increase because the Opposition won’t support these other cuts.

What about funding to combat domestic violence? Surely the Turnbull Government put its money where its mouth was on this critical national issue?

Well not exactly.

Bad news for violence against women and children:

  • The Government’s Women’s Safety Package provided $100 million for an advertising campaign, GPS trackers and an expansion of the national family violence counselling and information service. But it did not restore funding to legal centres and services cut by the Abbott Government.
Loading the player...

Bad news for tax cuts:

  • Only one in five women will earn enough to get the cut, while one in three men will benefit. Women with families but who earn less than $80,000 will get no tax cut and no childcare relief for another two years.

Single women on low incomes will still have little or no superannuation. And if any woman is experiencing domestic violence, there is a good chance she won’t be able to find legal support or another place to stay because of cuts made by the Abbott Government that have not been reversed by Malcolm Turnbull.

Chris Bowen delivering his budget reply address in Canberra yesterday.

In contrast, the Labor Opposition has more women-friendly policies, but is yet to fully spell out how it will pay for them.

Good news for mothers and women hoping to start families:

  • Labor is opposed to the Government’s proposed cuts to family tax benefits

  • Labor supports new mothers getting parental leave payments from both the government and their employer

Good news for violence against women and children:

  • Labor has promised $70 million to combat domestic violence, including $50 million for frontline legal services.

Good news for women at work

  • Through its industrial arm, the union movement, Labor is also focused on getting better pay and conditions for working women.

The Prime Minister said on International Women’s Day earlier this year that gender equality was an economic and social priority for Australia, noting that when a woman is empowered, the whole economy and community benefits.

Mr Turnbull challenged his audience to do “all we can” to ensure women get the same economic and social opportunities as men, are respected, have a strong voice, are financially and economically secure, and are safe from violence.

The Turnbull Government’s first budget did not live up to this challenge. However it still has around eight weeks left during the election campaign to convince Australia’s women that it can do so.

Seven Year Switch Jackie and Tim reveal baby news

Despite major tensions between the couple on the experimental partner-swapping show, Jackie and Tim are better than ever!
Loading the player...

There seemed to be major tension between Tim and Jackie recently on Seven Year Switch after she learned the news that he and experimental wife Tallena’s matching tattoos were real, but in last night’s reunion episode, it seems that the couple have reconciled.

In fact, it seems they’ve never been happier – Jackie revealed they’re trying for a baby!

During a conversation with her friend Sarah, Jackie told her how they’re better than ever after the experimental partner-swap.

“Tim realised that he needed to care for me and be more affectionate and do nice things for me, which he never would have realised if we didn’t do it,” she said.

“The passion is just back, like it was for the first year and a half, before we started the business.”

“He’s like, “I want to have a baby”. And I was like, “What?” and I was crying and laughing”… he said “I realised when I was away, I’ve never missed you so much’.”

She added cheekily: “We’ve already tried 400 times in the last two days!”

This was welcome news after Jackie said it was ‘over’ with news of Tim and Tallena’s tattoos.

But is Jackie already pregnant?

Last week a recent photo of the couple circulated with Jackie sporting what could be a baby bump.

Tim and Jackie have been a rollercoaster this season of the show, with Tim and his experimental partner sleeping in the same bed and jumping in the spa together.

This will be the second baby to come from the series, with Cassie expecting a child too!

How tantra is transforming sex over 50

If you thought that tantric sex was something for hippies or frisky young couples then think again. Tantra is transforming sex lives everywhere and it's older women who are leading the charge.

Unlike couples in their thirties, couples in their fifties, sixties and beyond don’t have the stress of raising kids and paying the mortgage to weigh them down. This makes it the ideal time to try a new style of lovemaking – one that requires a much slower approach.

The origins of tantra are steeped in Eastern philosophy, it has been around in different forms for thousands of years. Today in the West, it is simply a way of having sex that offers greater connection and value. “Tantra is about meaningful love making,” says Sex therapist Jacqueline Hellyer, who has run over 75 tantra workshops in the last 10 years.

Tantra is a ‘mindful’ approach to sex, and in contrast to ‘conventional’ sex, tantra is not about performance. “It’s not about getting your rocks off, and racing towards an orgasm – it’s about creating a true connection,” Hellyer explains.

You don’t need to worry about new positions, “it’s about ‘how’ you do things rather that ‘what’ you’re doing,” says Hellyer.

Hellyer notes that conventional sex is like a three course meal, “you have a starter, main and desert,” but tantra is like a picnic. “You can go straight for desert or just have the dip – tantra allows you to pick and choose rather than sticking to a set menu.”

Tantra is a totally different approach to sex, because the objective is to create a quality experience rather than stimulating each other to a climax.

Hellyer says that most of us were brought up with a Victorian model of sex in which “men have their needs” and “women service” their men. Tantra turns this around and focuses on the woman’s pleasure. “Men get pleasure from the pleasure the woman is getting,” Hellyer explains.

Because tantra focuses on the woman, Hellyer says that women will experience greater heights of sexual ecstasy than they have during ‘conventional’ sex.

Women practicing tantra start to tune in to subtleties and intensities during lovemaking that create an ecstatic “whole body experience”, which Hellyer says their partner will experience as well.

The biggest benefit that comes from tantra is the strength it will add to your relationship, says Hellyer. “During tantra you learn to truly relate to your partner with honesty, openness and vulnerability,” she explains. This is a great foundation for what Hellyer describes as “really beautiful” lovemaking.”

When you experience “beautiful” lovemaking, you release lots of “happy” hormones such as oxytocin and serotonin, into your blood stream, which Hellyer says will make you “feel good.” And because tantra creates an on-going connection, these hormones are constantly being released.

Tantra also offers some health benefits such as lowering blood pressure and reducing stress and fatigue.

63 year old Megan Chapman has been learning tantra with her husband Brian for the last two years. She says that it has been a “very powerful” experience.

“Tantra has given sex a completely different meaning,” says Megan.

Brian is Megan’s second husband, and although they were “ideally suited” for one another, Megan felt that their sex life was lacking something. “Sex was a bodily dance, you know the steps, but you don’t think about it any more than that,” she explains.

After doing some research on-line Megan and Brian enrolled in a series of tantra workshops in Sydney’s Inner West.

“It was a little awkward when we first arrived, but it was obvious that we were in a classy and ‘sleaze-free’ workshop, so we soon felt at ease,” says Megan.

During the workshop couples go through a series of exercises that help them connect with each other, such as light massage and holding one another. Megan says that the workshop was “practical, liberating, inspiring, encouraging and fun.”

Like many people exploring tantra, Megan says that it has been life changing. “It has been like a spiritual journey, and I’m really pleased that we’re making it. It’s like we’ve started a whole new life.”

So what’s the first step? Since tantra is all about creating a meaningful connection, the first step is to learn to relate to your partner with “honesty and openness”. “You don’t even need to take your clothes off,” says Hellyer. “It’s all about connection and energy.”

Hellyer’s advice is to build a greater sense of intimacy by spending quality time with your partner. A good start is to learn how to meditate together, or by simply gazing into each other’s eyes and breathing together.

Hundreds of books have been written about tantra, so you’ll be able to find one that suits you. Hellyer recommends ‘Tantric orgasum for women,’ by Diana Richardson and ‘The art of sexual ecstasy,’ by Margaret Anand.

There are also lots of resources, such as tutorials and e-books, available to download on the internet. Hellyer’s website offers a host of information including podcasts and blog posts and is a great place to start.

There are many tantra workshops and retreats around Australia, which are another great way to learn more. There isn’t a governing body for tantra, so Hellyer’s advice is to check the qualifications and experience of the course leader before enrolling.

Paris Hilton reveals sister Nicky’s baby gender

Oops! Party girl Paris just let slip her sister’s biggest secret…
Paris Hilton Nicky Hilton

A mini-Hilton is on the way, and everyone knows that the most exciting part of baby news, despite the news itself, is the big gender reveal.

Luckily for Nicky Hilton, her sister Paris decided to save her the trouble by taking the liberty of announcing her impending baby’s gender in a red carpet chat with Us Weekly.

Nicky Hilton and James Rothschild married in July 2015 in a lavish ceremony held at London’s Kensington Palace.

“I’m so excited for the baby!” Paris exclaimed at the FIT’s Annual Gala at the Plaza Hotel in New York City on Monday, May 9.

“She’s going to be such a beautiful little girl, and I can’t wait to meet her.”

The 35-year-old continued to gush about her excitement for the arrival of her little niece, describing the sweet ways her sister and husband James Rothschild have been preparing for their new addition.

“They’ve been getting the nursery ready so I’ve been going to all the baby stores,” the blonde beauty began.

“Now that I know it’s a girl, it’s getting easier to buy things for her. I love all the dresses I got her. There are so many beautiful dresses and little princess outfits. So I can’t wait to see her in them.”

Evidently, the Stars Are Blind songstress – who recently broke up with boyfriend of one year Thomas Gross – can’t wait to welcome her little niece. “I’m just excited to meet her! And just do aunt things.”

So, now that we have a gender, how about a name?

When asked if she could drop any hints regarding the title of the sweet bub, Paris responded: “My favorite name for a baby is London, but that’s for my baby! For her, I don’t know.”

“They are both friends and remain close but with their busy work schedules and the long distance it just got too difficult,” an insider revealed of Paris’ split from Thomas Gross earlier this month.

The Hollywood A-lister has expressed her keen desire to start a family in the past. On more than one occasion, the party girl turned DJ described bringing a child into the world as “the meaning of life.”

“One day I’d love to get married and have kids,” she quipped to Closer magazine.

“I see how happy Nicky is. That’s the true meaning of life: to find the love of your life and start a family.”

We hope for Paris that her happily ever after – although postponed following her breakup earlier this year – comes along soon!

Until then, the blonde beauty will continue to travel the world searching for the one.

Lady Louise didn’t realise her grandma was the Queen!

Sophie of Wessex just revealed a charming anecdote about her eldest child, revealing her daughter had no idea how very important her Granny is!
Lady Louise and Sophie of Wessex

During a sit down chat with the BBC’s Louise Minchin, the Countess shared how her eldest daughter Louise realised not all grandmothers have their own kingdom!

“It happened a little while ago,” the 51-year-old answered, when asked if her two kids knew how important their granny is.

Watch the charming moment in the video player below. Post continues…

Loading the player...

“Well for Louise, actually, it was much more of a shock to the system. It was only when she was coming home from school and saying, ‘Mummy, people keep on telling me that grandma is the queen.'”

“And I asked her, ‘Yes, how does that make you feel? And she said, ‘I don’t understand.'”

The mum-of-two continued, “I don’t think she had grasped that perhaps there was only one queen.”

Madness! You mean, not every granny has their own public holiday for their birthday? Lady Louise, pictured alongside Duchess Catherine, only recently learnt her grandmother is The Queen of England.

Despite their royal ties, for Sophie and her husband, Prince Edward, they’re main desire is to give their children a grounded and normal upbringing – something they have managed to do perfectly with their two kids, Louise, 12, and eight-year-old James.

“Certainly when they were very young we tried to keep them out of it,” Sophie admitted, adding, “Only because for their sakes, to grow up as normally as possible we felt was quite important.”

“And they’re going to have to go out and get a job and earn a living later on in life and if they’ve had a normal a start in life they possibly can get, then hopefully that will stand them in good stead.”

Lady Louise was one of the sweet flower girls at Will and Kate’s wedding

And now, five years on, she has grown up so much!

The royal kids recently joined their grandmother, along with her five great-grandchildren, including the two-year-old daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall, Mia, Savannah, five, and Isla Phillips three, who are daughters of The Queen’s oldest grandson Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn, for a commemorative portrait session for her milestone 90th.

And of course, two-year-old Prince George and his sister, Princess Charlotte.

Relive Louise’s starring role in her grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s 90th Royal Portraits by clicking on the link below!

Speaking of the iconic photo, the proud mum revealed there was actually a cuter snap from the day!

“I don’t think any of us knew quite what to expect. Anything could have gone wrong because we had some quite littlies in the picture! But they all behaved fantastically well,” she admitted.

“I think actually the better photograph would have been the one from behind the children looking to all of the adults, trying to get all the children to smile and laugh, to look engaging and everything.”

Here’s hoping we see that photo one day!

With her parents, mum, Sophie, and the Queen’s youngest, Prince Edward.

Should pregnant women be paid to stop smoking?

Would you drop a bad habit if someone paid you to quit?

After hearing that France was ‘the European country where pregnant women smoke the most’, French hospitals have begun a study to determine if a financial incentive would help persuade mums-to-be to quit nicotine.

Pregnant smokers who commit to giving up will be paid a series of €20 (around $30) vouchers, which could add up to €300 (around $463) if they do not start smoking again.

Women can take part in the study if they are over 18 and have been pregnant less than four months. The other criteria is that they smoke more than five manufactured cigarettes (or three rolled cigarettes) a day.

Participants are not allowed to use cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, or other tobacco products, and must agree to frequent testing.

While the risks of smoking during pregnancy are well documented, smoking can be a hard addiction to quit. So is a financial incentive likely to help?

The Weekly Online spoke to ex-smoker and mother of one Alex about the initiative. Prior to falling pregnant the 28-year-old was a “pack a day smoker” and although she acknowledged that the habit was detrimental to her health had no intention of quitting.

However, when she found out that she was six weeks pregnant she stopped smoking immediately. Although she says it was hard, especially when she was around other smokers, she says that she wanted to do it for her baby.

“I wanted to stop for my unborn child. For her growth and the development of her lungs and body. If that’s not a good enough reason then I don’t see how money would help,” she says.

Now she is the mother of a “smiley and alert baby” and she is still nicotine free.

But however motivated pregnant smokers feel there is no denying that nicotine is a highly addictive substance. And for some, the urge to smoke can take be stronger than the will to quit.

Alex agrees. She says that quitting smoking was “tough” and that while she did it “cold turkey” a bit of extra support in terms of nicotine patches, gum or even counselling would have helped more than a $30 voucher.

The French anti-smoking scheme is reminiscent of a controversial British trial in which women were offered a financial incentive to breastfeed.

Although the scheme caused a huge stir among parenting groups, data from the trial looked promising. Mothers who took part in the project said that they spent the vouchers on groceries, nappies, baby clothes and toys.

One mother told the Guardian: “Sometimes you think ‘should I just move on to the bottle now?’ and then I think ‘oh but then I won’t get the money to be able to treat them’, so it does help.”

Of course the bigger question is a moral one. Do governments have the right to shape their citizens into non-smokers or breast-feeders or even exercise enthusiasts?

Ex-smoker and mother of two Alison thinks that the proposed French scheme is actually quite offensive.

“I would bet most mothers that smoke don’t intend to do it while they are pregnant but if you’re addicted to something its not as simple as stopping,” she says.

“It’s none of the governments business what choices I make, even if I make the wrong ones.”

Prince’s ‘secret love child’ claims to be sole heir

A prisoner alleging he's legendary singer Prince’s son has stepped forward to try and claim a his slice of his fortune.
Prince Musician

A prison inmate claiming to be the firstborn son of pop icon Prince has emerged to lay claim on his stake of the late singer’s vast estate.

According to reports, Calvin Q. Williams of Missouri has filed papers with the courts demanding a DNA test in order to prove his father is really the music legend.

In the filings, which were obtained by the ABC in America, his mother Marsha Henson swore an affidavit saying she slept with Prince in July 1976 and gave birth to her son Calvin the following April.

On Friday, a judge ordered that the trust in charge of Prince’s estate make his blood available for the genetic test, and for any subsequent paternity claims.

Authorities have still not been able to locate a will since the singer’s death, meaning that the $300 million fortune is currently being fought over by Prince’s family.

Calvin claims the pop icon is his father.

However, if this paternity claim is proven true, Calvin would be entitled to his share of the estate before Prince’s siblings, as the law states that children are the first in line to inherit when there is no will present.

The alleged love child is currently serving a seven-year sentence in a maximum security federal prison after pleading guilty to unlawfully transporting a firearm in 2013.

Remember that time Prince kicked a giggling Kim Kardashian off stage? Post continues below.

More than 700 people have so far come forward claiming to be related to the Purple Rain singer, but so far Calvin is the first to file a claim in court.

“Our phone has been ringing off the hook,” Harvey Morse, the man in charge of the official search for Prince’s relatives, told MailOnline.

“I would say we’ve received between 600 and 700 calls. They run the gamut, literally from, ‘We lived in the same area so we must be related,’ to ‘We have pictures of Prince at our family reunion.’”

In the absence of a will, Bremer trust will distribute the $300 million fortune among Prince’s six siblings, provided no love children are proved to be genuine.

The estate is estimated to contain an extra $100 million in potential future earnings from unreleased songs, and licencing deals.

Orlando Bloom seen cosying up to Selena Gomez

But where’s the actor’s girlfriend Katy Perry?
Loading the player...

Poor Katy Perry is set to be heartbroken as photos have surfaced showing her actor boyfriend Orlando Bloom cosying up to former flame, Selena Gomez.

The intimate encounter occurred at a Las Vegas club inside the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It was only a week ago that Orlando and Katy were putting on an amorous display up at the Met Gala, playing the perfect couple for friends and colleagues.

In the exclusive pictures obtained by TMZ, Orlando and Selena are seen draped over each other in a locked embrace.

One picture shows the pair holding each other and smiling ear-to-ear. In another, the couple are so wrapped up in each other, their faces can’t be seen.

Sources told TMZ that the two stars were caught “embracing” and “neck nuzzling” in a booth.

The 23-year-old singing sensation had just kicked off her Revival Tour in Las Vegas on Friday night.

People magazine reports she headed to the club to rendezvous with Miranda Kerr’s ex at about 1am on Saturday morning to celebrate.

It’s not the first time Orlando and Selena have spent time together.

According to reports, the British actor was doing his best to remain unseen, wearing a baseball hat and slouching down inside the club.

The source continued that the pair were very “touchy feely” during the intimate encounter, but the singer reportedly went back to her hotel room by herself.

Katy is said to have introduced Orlando to her mum.

It’s not the first time the Pirates of the Caribbean star and Justin Bieber’s on-off girlfriend have set tongues wagging. Orlando, 39, was linked to the former Disney star back in 2014.

The Sorry singer and the Hollywood hunk even had a physical altercation that was said to be fuelled by jealousy over their reported relationship with each other’s exes.

Watch Selena tear up a fan picture that says “Marry Justin please” at her concert. Post continues below.

But even the fact that Selena went back to her hotel alone won’t provide much comfort to Katy, who at the time was reportedly miles away with her friends attending the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in California.

The Teenage Dream singer is said to have introduced Orlando to her mother last month and will no doubt be devastated by this turn of events.

Making the plot even more complicated is the fact that Orlando’s ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, was rumoured to have hooked up with Selena’s on-off lover Justin Bieber after the Victoria’s Secret show in 2012.

Despite the intimate cross-overs between Selena and Miranda, the two ladies are still chummy. Just last week the Aussie stunner shared a snap with the singer on Instagram (below).

Best of pals: Just like week Miranda Kerr shared this photo with Selena.

Can you help us catch a serial killer?

He killed three women but has evaded justice for 20 years – can you help catch the Claremont serial killer?
Loading the player...

On June 9, 1996, childcare worker Jane Rimmer, 23, disappeared from an upmarket nightclub in the Perth suburb of Claremont.

Fifty-four days later, her decomposing body was found, dumped on a lonely roadside verge 40km south of the Western Australian capital.

Five months before her abduction, Sarah Spiers, 18, had also disappeared from the same area and in March the following year, lawyer Ciara Glennon, went missing too. Her body was found 18 days later hidden in bushland north of Perth. Sarah’s remains have never been found.

The murder investigation that followed has been the longest and most expensive in Australia’s history and this year marks its 20th year.

In the June 2016 issue of The Australian Women’s Weekly, FBI-trained profiler Kris Illingsworth believes she has the key to solving these horrific crimes – and it all revolves around some grainy CCTV footage she is certain someone out there will recognise.

Sarah Spiers, Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon.

It’s Jane’s last sighting and she is meeting an unidentified man,” Kris tells The Weekly. “Without a doubt, this footage of Jane Rimmer is the key to it all.

“The first we see of Jane is at 11.58pm, standing alone and facing the street. She is obviously waiting for someone. Then, right on midnight, a man walks straight up to her.

“We only see the back of him for a second, but that brief vision tells us volumes about him. He has straight, short, dark brown or black hair.

“He is taller than Jane, well dressed with a medium build and muscular upper torso, which suggest fitness. He probably presents similarly today, although perhaps now he has greying hair. He would be aged around 47 to 55 now.”

The moment Jane smiles at her mystery date.

In the days after Jane’s disappearance, no one was able to identify this man. Can you help? Watch the footage above and call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 if you have any information.
