Sometimes coincidences can seem like they’re something more, like it’s a sign from the universe.
When this Chinese couple were putting together a wedding album, they pulled out a photo of the groom 15 years ago and were stunned to realise that in the background was actually the wife’s mother!
Hedong Zhang was 14 when the photo was taken, and to make this freaky coincidence even more amazing, the bride Yiqin Lu even had a photo of her mother taken in the exact same spot and same day!
The couple did some digging and found that the Zhang and Lu’s mum were actually on the same tour bus to visit the site.
We guess it really was meant to be!
Lu told Hangzhou Daily: “My husband said, ‘Although we didn’t know each other then, the skies must’ve planned this for us 16 years ahead of time.’”
“With this incredible story, we’ll cherish our love even more.”
In the current economic market with soaring house prices, saving can sometimes feel unachievable – but not for the Boothey family.
Jasmine, Aaron and their two children, daughter Blair, 5, and son Hamish, 2, have somehow worked out a secret formula that sees them being able to save $60k a year – which is nearly two thirds of their after-tax income.
“Our spending hasn’t increased significantly over the past 10 years, while our income has,” Jasmine told the Sydney Morning Herald.
“We have always been mindful not to spend pay raises and cash windfalls, which is a trap we see so many others fall into. We got into the habit of being savers from the beginning, and now it’s just habit.”
The Adelaide couple collectively earn $125,000 each year and with strict budgets, they own two properties and are planning to build a family home next year.
Jasmine has a money-saving blog called Bargain Mums and says that her and her husband set financial goals a little higher every year and make a game out of it. They break it down into goals per month, and only ever buy new items when the existing one breaks.
“We have also never gone into debt for anything other than a mortgage, if we want something, we save up for it,” Jasmine says. “I have always thought that if you need a loan for something, you can’t really afford it.”
The Australian Bureau of Statistics have found that the disposable income of an average Aussie household is $998 a week, but for low-income earners, it’s $407. High-income earners on the other hand have five times that amount at $2037.
Research also found that 26 per cent of Australian households have a total debt of three times or more than their income.
When it comes to stretching every dollar, Melissa Goodwin of the blog Frugal and Thriving tells SMH: “Frugality isn’t just about saving money. The true definition of frugality is the wise management of resources. Those resources include money, but they also include other physical resources as well as personal resources like time.”

Created from a hexagonal web of latex, the LELO HEX vouches to protect users while not taking away any sensation.
In a raw ad for the condom, which you can watch in the player above, the actor opens up about his own sexual health.
“I think people associate the word condom with less pleasure. With less connection. What may feel like five seconds of an inconvenience, can absolutely prevent a lifetime of potential grief and suffering,” Charlie explains.
Before adding: “It’s a dialogue that people don’t want to have. It’s uncomfortable, it’s awkward. A lot of it has to do with that fantasy belief that can never happen to them. I pretty much felt the same way.”

The bold new campaign has divided opinions, with some slamming the decision to use Charlie as their spokesperson and others praising it.

While Charlie insists he wants to use his profile to help raise more awareness around safe sex, many have been skeptical.
“If Charlie Sheen did the lelo commercial as awareness that implies some level of redemption, he would have done it for free,” another commented.
“I’m bummed that @Lelo_Official has teamed up with Charlie Sheen. Won’t be buying from them anymore this is massively disappointing,” a twitter user penned.
The actor went public with his HIV-positive diagnosis in November last year.
Last year, the father-of-five admitted he is HIV-positive in a tell-all interview.
The 50-year-old said he was diagnosed about four years ago, but didn’t know how he contracted the virus.
“I am in fact HIV-positive … It’s a hard three letters to absorb. It’s a turning point in one’s life,” Charlie told Matt Lauer on Today USA.
“It started with what I thought was a series of crushing headaches. I thought I had a brain tumour. I thought it was over.”
HIV, which affects the immune system and can develop into AIDS if left untreated, is spread through the bodily fluid of infected people.
In Australia, more than 27,000 people are infected with HIV, and it’s estimated that 12% are unaware of their positive status.

So how exactly does the handsome actor stay so fit?
Well, according to E! News, the star, who splits his time between New York and Los Angeles, credits his health and happiness to two key things; his active life, and his loving wife.
“I like to work out in the afternoon, around three or four,” he explained to the US publication. “I just don’t like to wake up and sweat. I’d rather have a cup of coffee.”
The 44-year-old has been spotted on many occasions biking around Manhattan.
“In New York I used to just be more active. I’d always ride my bike everywhere or skateboard everywhere, walk, whatever. Then I started going to the gym.”
So it seems that an active lifestyle is the trick to a six-pack, but what about his secret to true happiness?
“My dogs… and my lady, of course.”
