Liam Hemsworth was only 22 when he got on bended knee and asked a 19-year-old Miley Cyrus to marry him in June 2012.
While it may have seemed an impulsive act on his behalf, the 26-year-old actor says he doesn’t regret the decision one bit.
Speaking to News Corp, Liam revealed, “I don’t think that was impulsive. That was a well thought-out idea.”

The young couple called time on their romance in September 2013 after four years of dating.
Although they’ve yet to confirm whether their engagement is back on, Miley and Liam sure aren’t trying too hard to hide their rekindled romance.
The Wrecking Ball singer has been seen sporting her engagement ring on several occasions and has recently been spending quite a lot of time with Liam and his family in Byron Bay.
Last week, the 23-year-old singer showed her love for Liam in a very public way by wearing a T-shirt with his surname on the back.
Meanwhile, the Independence Day: Resurgence actor has told GQ magazine his break from Miley was much-needed for both of them.
“At the time we were both going in different directions and it’s just what needed to happen,” Liam said.
“We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time – we both needed that.”

Keith paid tribute to darling wife and their two girls, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret while he was jamming at his concert in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
And at one point in the show, he took some time to FaceTime them while on stage.
According to the guitarist, Nic was supposed to be with him in Boston but they had a change of plans.
“We booked the tour at the beginning of the year and June 25th was going to happen in Boston,” he told fans.
“And so, I said to Nic, ‘I can’t work on our anniversary and so maybe we’ll play Boston another time.’ And she said, ‘What about I come up to Boston instead?’ I said, ‘That’s a great plan.’ ”
But at the last minute, Nic had to remain in Australia to film the upcoming season of the highly anticipated Foxtel show, Top of the Lake.
But don’t worry, Keith was quick to add, “So, after the gig tonight, I’m flying to Australia to celebrate our anniversary.”
Clearly smitten, Keith not only serenaded his wife, he also took to social media to share a range of tributes to the 49-year-old.
Among them he included a snap from the first time the pair met in 2005 at the G’Day USA gala.
“Our very first photo together 2005, minutes after being introduced to each other. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BABY. LOOOOOOOOVE YOU!!!!!!!!! xxxxxxxxx,” he penned.
The couple tied the knot in a stunning wedding ceremony in Sydney in 2006.

After releasing his extremely NSFW music video for his controversial song Famous, the hip-hop star has begged celebrities to sue him.
Always provocative Kanye debuted his latest music video at the Forum in Los Angeles on Friday.
The saucy clip featured the likenesses of several naked celebrities curled up next to Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian in bed.
Nude celeb doppelgangers included Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Amber Rose, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Caitlyn Jenner, George Bush, Bill Cosby and Kim’s ex Ray J.
The scandalous image “leaves you guessing as to which of the celebrities are really playing themselves and which are presumably only there by the grace of some advanced prosthetic wizardry,” Vanity Fair said.

And it seems the 39-year-old is already bracing for the legal impact, tweeting “Can somebody sue me already #I’llwait,” less than 24 hours after the clip premiere.
And Taylor Swift might be front of the line.
The star is apparently “mad as hell” with Kanye for further exploiting her and her image.
She apparently objected to the “strong misogynistic message” of the song the first time she heard the track and can’t believe he would go ahead with such an offensive video.
The blonde pop star is reportedly “planning something” and “trying to figure out how to respond” to the video.
Disgraced AFL star Ben Cousins has been hospitalised after he was apprehended behaving strangely on the side of a busy Perth highway.
Police were called to Canning Bridge at 7.25pm last night after reports Cousins was standing in the middle of the road directing traffic and “behaving erratically”.
Witnesses told Seven News Cousins was “incoherent” and acting dangerously, allegedly jumping on a motorcycle rider and attempting to pull him off his bike.
“We were standing right there and one metre in front of us a red motorbike stopped and he ripped him off,” a female witness told the TV network. “He [the motorcyclist] jumped back on his bike and took off.”
Another witness spoke of the fear she felt when Cousins approached her.
“He came down here and ran down this path here and, honestly, I started s—-ing myself because I thought it was a crazy person.
“He was really lost, confused, making no sense at all. Seven or eight cop cars turned up left, right and centre. They even had the helicopter above us.”
“He looked like a bit of a mess. His jeans were riding really low and he was running and sweating heaps.”
Police put Cousins, who has a history of drug abuse, into an ambulance and escorted him to Fiona Stanley Hospital.
Cousins was the star member of the West Coast Eagles and one of the greatest AFL players of his era until his problems with substances dragged his professional and personal lives into a downward spiral.
A mum who shot and killed her two daughters penned a gushing social media post about how much she loved them just months before the crime.
“Happy Daughter’s Day to my two amazing, sweet, kind, beautiful, intelligent girls. I love and treasure you both more than you could ever possibly know,” Christy Sheats, 42, wrote in a loving Facebook tribute to daughters Taylor, 22, and Madison, 17.
On Friday, less than 12 months later, she pulled a gun on her girls in their middle class Texas home, after arguing with them.
One young lady died instantly while the other passed away a short time later at a local hospital.
The girls’ father was also at home when the shooting took place but was not injured.
Christy was subsequently shot by police when she refused to lower her weapon when they arrived on the scene after a concerned neighbour called 911.
Christy was very active on social media and had also posted about America’s proposed gun control laws.
“It would be horribly tragic if my ability to protect myself or my family were to be taken away, but that’s exactly what Democrats are determined to do by banning semiautomatic weapons,” she wrote in March.
“I have 10 guns. Obama wants eight of my guns. How many guns do I have? That’s right, I have 10 guns.”
When Ada Nicodemou was photographed at Sydney Airport last week with her bags packed, there was only one thing on her mind – getting as far away from Australia as possible.
Still dealing with the fallout from her marriage breakdown and desperately needing a break from the stress of co-parenting, Ada, 39, couldn’t wait to escape with son Johnas and her mum, Jenny, for four whole weeks.

“I’m going to have a rest. I’m going to go and have four weeks off and just sit on a beach with my little boy,” she revealed in an interview.
“He’s never been to Cyprus before and all of our family is over there, so it will be really nice for him… I’m really looking forward to it.”
But for Ada’s ex, Chrys Xipolitas, the news that his former wife and son were disappearing for a month was hardly welcome.
“Understandably Chrys was upset she was taking his son away, but there was no way he could stop her going,” a close family friend spills.
