It's set to be a busy year of travel for Prince William and Duchess Catherine as they enjoy a well-deserved family holiday before heading off to Canada later this year for an official royal tour.
After a busy few months for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the doting parents have decided to whisk Prince George and Princess Charlotte off for a lovely summer holiday.
Prince William and Duchess Catherine boarded a private Cessna plane with the children to take them for a much needed break.
The plane, worth $15 million, belongs to a family friend, the Duke of Westminster.
According to a French newspaper, on their arrival, the royals were greeted by a full security detail, including royal protection officers and a group of Scotland Yard personnel.
They were apparently swiftly ushered into two waiting blacked-out Range Rovers that were registered in William’s name.
It isn’t known whether the royal nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, was accompanying Prince George and Princess Charlotte on the trip, or if it was just for the family.
Local publications reported that the family of four were visiting France to drop in on friends and relatives in the country.
The last time the couple visited France, it was a somber occasion. Watch Prince William and Duchess Catherine pay their respects at Somme, then post continues.

The French countryside has always held a warm place in Kate and Wills’ hearts, and the couple took their first holiday as a family of four their earlier this year.
The 34-year-old parents had a ball with Charlotte and George, laughing and playing in the snow of the French Alps.
Meanwhile, the well-travelled couple have just announced they’ve accepted an invitation to visit Canada for their next royal tour.
This will be their second tour of the country, with the parents of two having visited previously in 2011. The exact date has not yet been confirmed.
The palace tweeted: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit Canada this autumn at the invitation of the Canadian Government. TRH hold very happy memories from their last visit to Canada in 2011 – their first overseas tour as a married couple.”
“The Duke and Duchess look forward to exploring more of Canada, from British Columbia to the territory of Yukon, when they return this autumn.”
In a statement, Canadian Governor General David Johnston said, “Sharon and I will be delighted to welcome Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Canada.
“Their royal tour will take them to the beautiful province of British Columbia and the scenic territory of Yukon. Once again, our true Canadian pride and spirit will shine and be at the very heart of this visit so they can feel at home.”
Speculation has already mounted as to whether they’ll bring along their two children. Although they didn’t bring George and Charlotte to India earlier in the year, George did accompany them on their tour of Australia and New Zealand in 2014.

Is Lindsay Lohan finally going to have a bit of smooth sailing?
After the recent dramas surrounding her and her fiancé Egor Tarabasov, the actress was spotted relaxing on a yacht in Sardinia… while Egor was spotted moving his possessions out of her house.
The Mean Girls star, whose life has been the centre of much controversy over the past few days, was seen looking calmer than she has seemed, smoking a cigarette surrounded by her gal pals.
Meanwhile her 23-year-old fiancé (or is that former fiancé?) was busy moving many of his possessions out of Lindsay’s flat in Knightsbridge, London.
See the explosive fight that led to her kicking him out. Warning: may contain distressing images. Post continues.

The Russian mogul reportedly looked somber as he moved several suitcases, suit jackets and snowboarding equipment out of the apartment, with the help of a friend.
It was all under the watchful eye of the 30-year-old redhead’s bodyguard.
Meanwhile, Lindsay’s dad has reportedly confirmed the star IS pregnant.
Rumours swirled of her impending arrival when the actress posted the news on social media, but as it was in the middle of her outburst, many didn’t know if the post was serious or not.
Lindsay’s father Michael spoke to Page Six TV and claimed his daughter told him over text message she was expecting.
According to the report, the actress texted her father: “Daddy, I’m pregnant.”
“She texted it to me and told me … I don’t know [how far along she is],” Michael explained.
The 54-year-old said he wasn’t aware how far along she was.
“It’s going to be up to her what she decides to do. It’s troubling. It’s troubling that she is pregnant,” Michael explained in a separate interview with the MailOnline.
This follows an incident where police were called to the couple’s home, where they allegedly kicked down the door after the troubled actress accused her lover of physical abuse.
Tom Hiddleston has just been given a much more significant award: Rear of the Year!
The Brit was voted in via a website, which awards the title every year to a celebrity with “prize winning rear assets.”
But before you start thinking he’s the butt of some joke, other UK celebrities to scoop the award include Daniel Radcliffe, for his nude stint in the play Equus, and British singer Olly Murs… just because.
When Daniel rose from the bottom to accept this accolade, he responded that it was “a bit weird” but that he was “grateful.”
The 35-year-old actor has garnered himself a bit of a reputation this year for putting his derriere on display, getting his kit off for several underwear shoots, as well as stripping down completely for The Night Manager, which he stars in with Hugh Laurie and Elizabeth Debicki.
Check out Tom shaking his award-winning booty in the video below. Post continues!

In fact, the scene where his buttocks made their award-winning debut was so hot, it was cut from TV airings in the US!
“I was surprised to hear that they cut my butt out!” he told W.
“I’m here to tell you that my butt is not dangerous. And there are many, many more dangerous things that people are happy to broadcast. I don’t know what that says about the world we live in, but it probably says something.”
We bet this is one award his genetically blessed co-star Chris Hemsworth is going to be jealous of!
Meanwhile Tom has jetted home to Los Angeles to console his girlfriend Taylor Swift after her VMA snub.

The usually multiply nominated singer failed to receive a single nod this year, with some speculating that the Kanye/Kim drama had something to do with it.
Tom looked calm as he walked through the airport to meet his blonde bombshell girlfriend.
The two have been apart recently while Tay was dealing with the Kimye fallout and Tom was doing the publicity rounds at Comic Con and filming his latest movie.
We are sure Taylor is happy to have Tom’s bum home at last.
On the surface, the Facebook group ‘Blokes advice’ sounds harmless enough; a place where men can bond and share jokes. But within the everyday blokey banter, the group has a serious misogyny problem, and there is nothing harmless about that.
The ‘secret’ group (that everyone knows about) was created in Queensland in May this year and already has more than 200,000 members. But although fans of the group claim that it’s just a place to “talk Sh*t”, screen shots of posts about rape, revenge porn and violence against women have been exposed.
The group came to light when feminist writer Clementine Ford started sharing shocking screen grabs that had been sent to her.
We have decided not to post any more of the screen shots. However, here are a couple of the comments we’ve seen.
“If it weren’t for their vaginas, a —-, mouths and cooking and cleaning skills that they are born with’ then ‘there would be no need to the woman kind.”
“I personally feel dirty just being around those sausage wallets. They should be a rule they can’t come with in a meter radius of they aren’t performing sexual acts upon us.”
“I let a couple of my brothers and mates gangbang her. She cried. I won”
Other posts included photos of women captioned with graphic descriptions of rape, comments of men encouraging each other to send abusive messages to their ex-girlfriends and a barrage of the worst misogyny you can imagine.
And it is misogyny, the only explanation is that these men actually hate women.
Writing for News.com.au, Matthew Dunn says that the shocking screen grabs that have made the news are not a fair representation of the group. I’m happy to hear it; the thought of 200,000 women-hating men out there is a pretty terrifying thought.
Dunn also says that “boys will be boys”, while I get his point that we shouldn’t brand the entire group as sexist Neanderthals, I don’t think we can let them off the hook either. Perhaps not all the men in the group are posting misogynistic vitriol, but are they actively doing anything to stop it?
The worrying thing is that when this sort of misogyny starts seeping into our lives it starts to become normal. It adds to a culture in which it is ok to objectify women.
At the moment Australia has a significant problem with domestic violence, and until we start to fight everyday misogyny that problem isn’t going to go away.
Earlier this year, Diane Coleman chair of NSW’s men’s behaviour change network at BaptistCare told The Weekly Online that there is a clear link between domestic violence and the everyday “boys will be boys” philosophy.
“Most of the men in our culture are schooled to ‘man up’ – ‘don’t cry, don’t be aware of your feelings, never admit that you’re wrong. ‘take control’,” she said.
“We have to pull apart this idea of masculinity. We need a model of masculinity where men can be proud of themselves as men and totally committed to being respectful, no matter what.”
On the surface, Blokes advice is doing the polar opposite. We should all be outraged, angry, and terrified.
Prince Harry chose to make a very private moment public all in the name of health when he took a HIV test and broadcast it on Facebook Live earlier this month.
The 31-year-old royal visited the Burrell Street centre, part of Guy’s and St Thomas’s hospital, in central London to do the quick procedure which was put live on the royal family’s Facebook page on July 12.
It was all part of the Terrance Higgins Trust’s plan to help launch a trial offering people the chance to order free BioSure HIV test and to find out their status at home in 15-minutes.
Before the test, Harry admitted he was nervous, saying: “Even being the person I am and knowing the type of people I’m around, I’m still nervous.”
He had to wait a few short minutes before getting back a negative result.
Following Harry’s involvement the THT has experienced a 500 per cent increase in people ordering home testing kits – each and every device helping to further fight the spread of HIV and AIDS.
This week in a statement on the Terrence Higgins Trust website Dr Michael Brady, Medical Director for the organisation, said: “We know that one in six people living with HIV do not know that they have it.
“Testing puts you in control and, thanks to treatment, will stop you from getting seriously ill, enable you to live a normal lifespan and prevent you from passing the virus on to anyone else.”
Following the result of his live test Harry was quick to point out that even if he did get a positive result the life of someone with HIV does not mean a death sentence.
The prince then laid down the gauntlet to those who might be watching.
“So whether you’re a man, woman, gay, straight, black, white… or even ginger, why wouldn’t you come and have a test?”
By highlighting HIV and Aids, Harry is following in the footsteps of his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, who was fiercely involved in trying to campaign for research and treatment for people living with the virus.
With celebs like Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lopez and Adriana Lima crediting their incredibly toned figures to it, there’s really no better time to kick-start your summer bod by jumping aboard the boxing craze.
Not only does the combat sport tackle each and every muscle group which helps to slim and tone as you throw punches, but boxing can also ease your stress levels, develop your coordination and improve your concentration.
The wonderful thing about boxing is that it’s a fully-focused sport. If your mind is anywhere else but the ring, you’re likely going to cop a swing.
And that’s why we love getting gloved up – because after a long day at work, it feels good to get moving and think of nothing else but your next move.
“But it’s winter!” You might protest. “But I don’t own boxing gloves!” Is another common excuse. You’re tired, you can’t be bothered to wash your hair, you’d rather watch Netflix, anything else?
Why not check out the five reasons why you should take up boxing, and notice those excuses suddenly become motivation.
1. Tighten your core
If you’re looking for an enjoyable way to finally get that six-pack, then it’s time to turn to the ring.
As you take swings, your hips need to rotate in order to pack the most power behind your punch.
Throughout the course of your workout, this non-stop movement will absolutely shred the core area, which in turn will provide you with a strong core and a flat tummy in no time.
2. Relieve stress
Maybe you had a fight with your roommate or your boss is driving you up the wall, whatever it is, boxing will help you to constructively relieve that tension so you can move on with your day feeling elated.
While it, of course, feels great to take a swing at a punching bag to cope with stress in the short term, the rush of endorphins that follow from physical activity will help to prolong that feeling of relief even after you’ve made it home just in time to watch Richie on The Bachelor.

3. Burn calories
As boxing is both an aerobic and anaerobic workout with high-intensity bursts followed by active recovery, you have the ability to burn up a whopping number of calories.
Compared to jogging which on average burns about 550 calories an hour, boxing can incinerate over 730 in the same amount of time.
Not bad if you ask us!
4. Keep your heart healthy
It’s one thing to turn to exercise to help us to look our best, but working out is also a key factor to our brain, bone and heart health.
“A good boxing workout makes you breathe heavily and increases the rate at which your heart pumps blood around your body,” says fitness guru John Kalu.
“Increased heart beat strengthens your heart’s muscles and lowers your chances of developing cardiovascular complications such as heart attacks and strokes.”
5. Feel like a boss
As your power and endurance improves, you’ll feel strong. As your body slims and tones, you’ll feel more confident, and as your stress levels decrease, you’ll feel more relaxed.
There’s really no down side to picking up some boxing gloves and throwing some right hooks here and there.
Although you probably will have to wash your hair tomorrow.
In a historic vote Hillary Rodham Clinton has become the first woman to be elected to represent a major American political party in the bid for the United States presidency.
“At 6:39 p.m., the hall erupted in cheers and joyful tears as South Dakota cast the decisive 15 votes to put Mrs. Clinton over the threshold of 2,382 delegates required to clinch the nomination,” wrote the New York Times of the momentous occasion.
While she couldn’t attended the Democratic Convention in Philadelphia to accept the nomination in person the 68-year-old appeared in a huge way via satellite.
The feed began with a symbolic montage of all of the former presidents shattering like glass, and then Clinton’s grinning face was there to officially accept the Democratic nomination.
Apart from thanking everyone for their support the grandmother acknowledged just how historic this moment was by offering an inspiring message for young girls everywhere.
“What an incredible honour that you have given me, and I can’t believe we just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet,” she said. “And if there are any little girls out there who stayed up late to watch, let me just say, I may become the first woman president, but one of you is next.”
Of course this nomination means that if Mrs Clinton wins office not only will she be the first female president, but her husband, former president Bill Clinton would be the ‘first gentleman.’
Today during a speech at the Philadelphia convention Mr Clinton made a deeply personal case for his wife to be trusted with the Presidency, including the story of when he first laid eyes on her in a classroom at Yale Law School.
Of the meeting Mr Clinton told the crowd – who reacted with an audible “Awww”– that he recalled a young Hillary had “big blonde hair, BIG glasses, wore no makeup and she exuded this sense of strength and self-possession that I found magnetic.”
“I followed her out, intending to introduce myself. I got close enough to touch her back – but I couldn’t. Somehow, I knew this wouldn’t be just another tap on the shoulder and I might be starting something I couldn’t stop.”
Finally, Bill mustered the courage to ask Hillary out – their date was a gentle wander around the collage campus.
“We’ve been walking and talking and laughing together ever since,” he said.
“We’ve done it in good times and bad, through joy and heartbreak.”
It took Bill three tries to get Hillary to marry him – including one attempt where he advised her to decline and start her political career instead. But eventually the pair was wed in a small house in his hometown of Arkansas – a home Bill bought as a romantic gesture after Hillary remarked she liked it.
“We were married in that little house on October the 11th, 1975,” Bill told the crowd on Tuesday. “I married my best friend.”
Of his wife a nostalgic Bill Clinton said: “I was still in awe after more than four years of being around her, at how smart and strong and loving and caring she was, and I really hoped that her choosing me and rejecting my advice to pursue her own career was a decision she would never regret.”
Bill branded his wife “the best darn change-maker I’ve ever met in my entire life.”
“If you were sitting where I am sitting and you have heard what I have heard at every dinner conversation, every lunch conversation, every long walk, you would say this woman has never been satisfied with the status quo in anything. She always wants to move the ball forward, that is just who she is,” he said.

Hillary’s rival for the presidency, Republican candidate Donald Trump, has come out ahead of Clinton in the race to the White House.
The July 22-26 Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll found that 39 per cent of likely voters supported Mr Trump, 37 per cent supported Mrs Clinton, and 24 per cent would vote for neither.
Reuters reports: “Trump’s gains came as he accepted his party’s nomination to the Nov. 8 ballot at the four-day Republican National Convention in Cleveland last week, and as Clinton’s nomination in Philadelphia this week was marred by party divisions and the resignation of a top party official.”
Now that nominees have been decided there will be some fierce campaigning before Americans go to the polls in November.
Channel Nine reporter Christine Ahern and her cameraman have had a lucky escape in Rio.
The pair were on Copacabana beach when they were approached by a group of would-be thrives.
Ahern told 3AW that nearby security guards were quick to respond.
“There was a group of transvestites and it all happened in a flash,” she said.
“One came straight for my cameraman Glen and that’s when security intervened, but he did get clocked on the head with a handbag, which had a brick or something in it as it was pretty hard.”
Ahern went on to say how security had advised them to put the camera in a bag which she initially thought was “overkill.”
She also said the security guard, believed to be an ex-British special forces officer, was not injured in the incident.
“He’s very experienced, he turned to me and said, ‘It’s been a while since I’ve been clobbered by a woman’s handbag,’” she said.
Ahern also praised the quick thinking security guards who defused the situation.
Game of Thrones? Suits? Outlander? We all have at least one TV show that we can happily watch for hours on end. And with the advent of TV streaming services such as Netflix, binge-watching TV has become a fairly normal activity.
In fact, watching a season of your favourite show in one go is not just normal, it’s expected. Some shows even drop an entire season in one go to satisfy the appetite of fans.
But of course, as much as we love it, binge-watching TV was bound to have some health implications. And the latest study investigating those implications has uncovered some fairly alarming results.
Researchers from Osaka University in Japan warn that watching TV for hours can increase the risk of blood clots in the lungs.
During the study, scientists examined the viewing habits of 86,000 over the course of nine years.
They found that watching TV for five or more hours a day made people more than twice as likely to die of fatal pulmonary embolism (PE) than those watching less than two and a half hours a day.
And for every extra two hour chunk of TV, the risk of fatal pulmonary embolism (PE) increased by 40%.
So is Game of Thrones actually killing us? Professor Mark Harris is a doctor and spokesperson for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He says that the issue is more about the sitting than the TV.
“We know that seditionary behaviour is unhealthy. Certainly sitting for more than eight hours a day is unhealthy,” he says.
“Sedentary behaviour is associated with increased mortality and diabetes risk. Prolonged periods of sitting are also associated with leg clots,” he says.
Dr Harris also notes that behaviours associated with binge-watching TV might compound the negative health outcomes. “One of the things about TV watching is that we’re not just sedentary, we’re likely to be snacking at the same time,” he says.
While the health risks of binge-watching TV are evident, Dr Harris says that there is no need to ditch Netflix altogether.
“Obviously watching TV is a good way to relax. People enjoy it,” he says.
So what can we do to minimise the risks? Dr Harris says that it is best to limit the amount of time we spend sitting down. So if you have a desk job that keeps you sitting down for large chunks of the day, going home to sit in front of the TV isn’t ideal.
However, you can remedy this by standing up more, both during the day (standing or walking meetings and standing desks can help) and when you’re watching TV.
Valerie has a good solution. She plays a fitness game when she watches Suits. Every time someone says “goddam” she does 10 push ups. “Season 6, episode 2 … 90 pushups! Those scriptwriters seriously need to expand their vocabulary,” she says.
And if you’re not a fan of push ups, Nicole has a more traditional solution. “I binge-watch while I iron. I have an “ironing room” with my own Foxtel box and Apple TV and I record everything I want and then become super productive,” she says.
But, if you love Game of Thrones more than you love ironing, you could just watch TV standing up.
