Barack Obama is one proud husband. At the State Dinner last night the 54-year-old President of the United States could barely wipe the smile off his face, giving photographers a big ‘thumbs up’ in appreciation of beautiful wife Michelle.
The First Lady dazzled in a strapless ivory white gown, complemented with chandelier earrings and swept-back hair.
The family were hosting the prime minister of Singapore and his wife during the black tie evening.
It marked the Obama’s 12th state dinner and the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations between America and Singapore.
Brandon Maxwell designed the custom-made dress. He told Women’s Wear Daily that it was “an incredible honour” to have the First Lady wear his creation.
“She is the embodiment of the woman that inspires me to create, and a role model for women all over the world,” he said.
“Mrs. Obama was always, and still is, the definition of grace and intelligence to me,” he continued.
The annual David Jones Spring/Summer Fashion show brings with it a world of glitz and glam.
Of course, all your favourite Australian celebs poured into Sydney’s Fox Studios to see what the department store will bring as the winter chill dispels.
But there was undoubtedly a frosty vibe between more than a few A-listers as the models took to the catwalk…

Uh oh… The final dress rehearsal seemed to bring out a bit of tension between models Jesinta Campbell and Jason Dundas.
But the 25-year-old Miss Universe winner and the TV presenter were able to put their differences aside when it came to crunch time.
There to support his girlfriend was AFL star Buddy Franklin, looking dapper in a steel grey suit.
Bachelor lovebirds Tim and Anna took the top spot in the front row, looking like they’d stepped straight out of a high-fashion catalogue.
Meanwhile, Guy Sebastian and his style blogger wife were relegated to the second row.
At 15-weeks pregnant, Gemma Ward totally stole the show! Speaking to The Daily Telegraph of her decision to walk while expecting, the blonde beauty said, “I’m really doing this so that my baby can have a first catwalk show early! I just think it is a really lovely way to celebrate a period in what some women go through and it is nice to celebrate all the different ways your body changes.”

Ambassador Jessica Gomes showed off a much lighter side to her usually chestnut tresses.
Lisa Wilkinson was a vision in monochrome next to her husband of 25-years Peter FitzSimons.
Also in the frow (thats front row in fashion talk), sat new mum Kyly Clarke and style royalty Carla Zampatti.
Princess Mary has taken the opportunity to declare her support for her homeland Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The Danish Crown Princess said she is happy to support Aussie athletes, but only on one condition.
“I’ll absolutely support Australians,” Princess Mary declared to The Today Show. “So long as they’re not competing against a Dane,” she added.
The Australian-born royal also stipulated that all her cheers would be for the Danish athlete.
But Mary presented her ideal scenario: “It would be great to get gold [for the Danes] and silver [for the Australians].”
The mother-of-four has spoken in favour of Rio’s hosting of the Olympics, despite many reports criticising the country.
“It’s been a very positive experience like the trips we’ve had to Brazil with Danish business delegations and so forth,” she revealed to the MailOnline.

Princess Mary was greeted by a sea of children when she visited shantytown Jacarepaguá in Rio this week ahead of Friday’s Opening Ceremony.
Princess Mary took time out of her busy schedule to visit a school in one Rio’s poorest areas.
She visited a school in Jacarepaguá and presented the children with Lego Duplo sets.
The mother of four indicated that her aim was to leave a lasting legacy with the children long after the games were over.
During her visit, the mother-of-four played Lego with the local children.
As the children played with the Lego, it appeared that many of them had never seen the popular western children’s toy before.
Nevertheless they all caught on quickly and were building creative monuments in no time.
“It’s so exciting when the Games start, so I’m looking forward to Friday,” Mary said.

This time her squad member, Karlie Kloss, was the star of the pic. Sharing the snap in honour of the model’s birthday, Taylor penned a sweet message.

The Biebs shared a screenshot of himself FaceTiming with a smiling Kanye West.

The only thing left for Miss Swift to do was to shake, shake, shake it right off and lay low with her boyfriend, Tom Hiddleston.
The Kardashian matriarch tells E! News she is rattled from the collision and her hand “hurts.”
TMZ first broke the news and reported that the 60-year-old had the collision off the 101 freeway near her Calabasas home.
The site also claims her luxury car is only one week old and she may have broken her wrist.
Kris tells E! News she is shaken up from the crash but doing OK.
According to officers on the scene, Kris’ Rolls-Royce crashed into a Prius. The force of the collision reportedly triggered her airbag and the front-end of her car has been smashed in.
Onlookers tell TMZ that the Prius drove through a red light however the story is still developing.
Meanwhile Kris’ youngest daughter Kylie Jenner has taken to Twitter to confirm she wasn’t in the car.
“I was not involved in the accident. Everything’s okay,” the Lip Kit mogul penned.
Shannen Doherty’s cancer battle reached an emotional climax recently, when she told her husband Kurt Iswarienko her deepest fears.
The actress told her husband that the pair did not have the luxury of taking a single moment in their lives for granted, given her breast cancer diagnosis.
“I told him, ‘You need to enjoy every single second you have with me because I’m going to be dead in five years,’ and he just burst out in tears,” the 45-year-old confessed during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.
She also recalled the exact moment she told her partner the heartbreaking news.
“I called him, which was horrible of me,” she said. “I was in the car. I was with my mum, and the doctor called me and I’m, you know, ‘I’m going to wait until I see him,’ and I just couldn’t. So I picked up the phone and I called him and he was like, ‘Where are you?'”
The news shocked him, and the second that Shannen’s car pulled into the driveway, her husband was there to support her.
Shannen says she and her husband refuse to take anything for granted now.
“[He] hugged me and said, ‘We are going to get through this. You are going to be okay,'” the actress said.
“We are going to get through this, you’re strong and you’re powerful and you’re not going anywhere. You have so much to do in your life. We are going to get through it as a family.'”
And Shannen confesses that her devastating diagnosis has actually strengthened her marriage.
“My marriage was always strong, but it’s made my marriage a thousand times stronger,” she explained. “I could not have gotten through this without my husband.”

She says her german shepherd Bowie began constantly sniffing around the exact area where her tumour was located.
Shannen admits she was confused at what the dog was doing, and it wasn’t until she was diagnosed that it fell into place.
“When I got back from surgery, [Bowie] again was kind of right in this area.
“Then when I had my first chemo, she would sniff my entire body up and down. And she was always protective before, but she has become this crazy, protective dog. It’s hard to get close to me when she’s around.”
Amoung the 300 passengers and crew were two Australian travellers. Everyone on the plane was safely evacuated before the plane burst into flames. Sadly fire fighter, Jassim Essa Al-Baloushi, was killed while battling the blaze.
Dramatic footage filmed by passengers has emerged where passengers can be heard screaming and crewing shouting directives to jump down the emergency slides.
While investigators look into the reason for the incident The Aviation Herald, an independent website monitoring air accidents, reports that the air traffic control records indicate that there was no priority or emergency declared because the air craft had performed a normal approach.
The Herald suspects the plane was attempting to make a routine “go around” after deciding to abort the landing on final approach – a procedure for which pilots are well trained.
“The aircraft however did not climb, but after retracting the gear touched down on the runway and burst into flames,” The Aviation Herald said.
Dubai International is the world’s busiest airport and more than 20 outgoing flights had to be cancelled because of the crash, Emirates said.

The infamous mistress is suing her former lover’s daughter Kelly Osbourne for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and public disclosure of public facts.

The TV personality was not happy when her dad’s mistress was revealed.
When the news of her father’s infidelity first leaked, Kelly took to social media to slam Michelle. “Anyone looking for cheap chunky LOW-lights a blow out and a b—j– call…” she wrote, alongside a phone number purporting to be Michelle’s.
After receiving backlash for sharing the mistress’s details, Kelly replied: “Are you my family? NO YOU ARE NOT YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT SHE DID! So keep ur high-mighty opinions to yourself!”
Kelly slammed Michelle for causing irreparable damage to her family.
According to E!Online, Michelle’s court documents claim Kelly “intentionally and maliciously harmed her by publishing private facts and defamatory statements, in addition to inciting a rash of mass cyber-bullying against [Michelle] utilizing the highly popular social media platform, Twitter, wherein Kelly had approximately 4.07 million followers.”
Michelle’s reputation may have been tarnished but she refuses to go down without a fight.
As Kelly had reportedly violated Twitter guidelines by publishing the number, she was blocked from the platform, and did not remove the number for a month.
By this time, Michelle claims the “damage” had already been done.
Ozzy and Sharon say their relationship is back on track after the affair.
She is seeking compensation, court costs, damages and any “other relief” the court wishes to give her.
Meanwhile Michelle recently opened up about her four-year-relationship with the Black Sabbath rocker.
Ozzy has since said he felt ashamed about his fling.
She says Ozzy: “made me feel like the most beautiful and worshiped woman in the world.”
But the rock star’s representative denies their connection was ever emotional.
