You may remember his generous, playful, caring personality from when he was on Play School back in the day, and don’t get us wrong, he’s still got a heart of gold, but Jay Laga’aia’s tell-it-how-it-is personality that probably sent him packing from the jungle on Sunday night.

Jay was the guy who was the voice of reason in the camp, and with him gone, he reckons things might get hectic sooner rather than later.

“Those who are the big voices and personalities will try and take over where they can and the rest of the group will pack together to try and shut them down.”

Jay left the jungle on Sunday night.

And who does he think will cause the most chaos? Well to put it bluntly, Keira.

“Deep down she’s probably a lovely girl, but the problem is if you don’t come from a face of truth, you’ll be found out really quickly,” he says, claiming the former Bachie contestant is only in the jungle because she wants to be famous.

“I work with children and they walk away with me if it’s not about them. And I think it’s the same thing, she always tries to play the 5-year-old.”

Jay lowers Keira down into a pit of snakes during the Bad Pitt Tucker Trial.

And while his comments may come across a little harsh, Jay doesn’t regret the things he’s said about Keira. #SorryNotSorry

“My comments about her were truthful, and they may have hurt her followers and they would have thought he’s being really harsh, but for me I don’t make up stuff, I call what I see, because the cameras are 24/7 and they can back up what I say.

“And I think the thing is sometimes people need to be told, if you want the cameras to betray you as a spoilt, blonde, bimbo brat, then you are on the right track. But if you actually want a career in this industry, you have to have more substance than that.”

Ouch!

And while the hard life of the jungle tends to snap people out of their sassy ‘tudes quick smart, Jay seems to think there’s no hope for Keira.

“After 3 weeks I think the whole facade comes down, but Keira’s still doing it, because she doesn’t know any better,” he says.
