The sporting star announced his retirement from test cricket in September, 2015.

While he officially retired from international cricket in May this year.
“It’s been a decision that hasn’t come about lightly, over the past month especially, but I just know it’s the right time to be able to move on and still, hopefully, play the shorter formats of the game,” he said in a statement at the time.
Before adding, “It’s been something for the past month that I’ve thought about a lot, and I’ve been through a lot of different waves of emotion about what the right thing is for myself, my family and most, importantly, the team as well.”

He may have kicked off his professional cricket career back in 2005, but for Shane, life as a dad is what he truly bats for.
“Having children is one of the most beautiful things in the world,” the cricket legend mused.
The Aussie cricketer and his wife announced that they were expecting their second child last year, before welcoming Matilda in May, 2015.

“There are no words to describe the love we have for our beautiful little girl,” Shane gushed upon announcing her arrival.
The happy couple, who met in 2006, tied the knot back in 2010 in a low-key ceremony on NSW’s Central Coast and became first-time parents in March 2013, after Lee gave birth to their son Will.
And clearly, their eldest is running sixes when it comes to being a big brother.
The adorable toddler could help but get young Matilda involved with his fun game of kick ball.
The proud daddy revealed, “Will is exceeding expectations with his big brother duties and adores his little sister!”
